If Sportsnet was smart they would have a trade deadline show and have a round table with Davidi, BNS and even Wilner. Instead we have to watch Tim and Sid and listen to Jeff Blair make a fool out of himself.

Funny how the trade deadline in baseball hardly gets any coverage up here, while TSN blows a load on the NHL deadline like months in advance!

How is it funny? Hockey is way more popular in Canada so it's expected. They don't really cover the trade deadline in the US either, it's all about NFL training camps.

LA media here is saying the Dodgers are refusing to trade any of their top 3 prospects. Radio host is claiming they want to continue towards the future with their young guys and if they win a WS on the way so be it but they have no plans to jeopardize the future to win today

Ned Colletti the GM being cautious?

Other than the Red Sox i did not see the AL East making too many deals today

With the tight race, the money involved and cost of players I really don't foresee anything major myself. Maybe a player or two but nothing serious. I figured the BoSox might sell off some pieces since they're done this year.

According to radio their plan all along has been to win with the kids. They dont see very many of their core guys now being around long term and want to make sure they have the high end prospects to plug in when that day comes

I don't foresee those old guys retiring and letting them off the hook for some of the money like Chavez did.

I'd probably wet myself if he wound up in Toronto but I have the feeling if he did, it would cost the team their future and he'd blow out his elbow in his first start lol Maybe they'd take Happ in the deal lol

Which one of you did this lol

I'm not gonna lie, I got a little excited reading that.
