Bautista has been taking grounders at third.

RF and move Bau to 3rd most likely. I would prefer this to be an option anyway as it doesnt limit us to only acquiring a 3rd or 2nd baseman for this year. We need a bat first, positions can be figured out based on who we get. Lucky we have this flexibility

Bautista (injured and old) at 3B is an awful idea,

I liked the idea of moving Bautista over to 3rd as a temp move when the injuries piled on but I don't think I dig the idea of moving him there permanently. I guess to get Lawrie @ 2B and bring in more options for a RH bat would be worth the risk. I've managed to shift my mind to fire sell this team after last night, so I don't really care either way.

It would be interesting if Bautista shifted to 3B. If guys can stay healthy then in a few weeks Lawrie/Rasmus/Navarro could be the bottom 3rd of the order.

Bautista for Oscar Tavaras/Carlos Martinez, Edwin for something (from the Indians maybe?), etc, etc. All of this window dressing just to distract from the inevitable (Alex's firing) is a huge time waster.

Kind of makes sense for both this year and next. He won't cost much as I'm sure Texas probably just wants to dump his salary and he is still a decent player. Has an option for next season as well and he provides a replacement for Rasmus and/or Cabrera. Not a bad idea.
