sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Archer is pitching too good today :-p
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 He's also been a .275'ish hitter OPS'ing about .750 since April. Decent, but nothing special. 'Specially for a LF. So why exactly would you omit a month. If someone said," You take away april's numbers from lawrie and his numbers look amazing." You'd call a guy out for cherry picking statistics...you take the season in its entirety.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 He would, but it would just rain and be s***** outside.... Hahahaha. Gold - thanks.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Reimold pick up was a very savvy addition. That's the kind of guy that should be on a major league roster, not Kevin swingstatanythingwithin5feetoftheplate pillar.
labadee Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 just missed that one! but good job by reimold
IBTrini Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 just ignore him, bro A couple more posts of that quality will definitely get him there.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Might be a good pitching coach one day, though you never know how his mindset would translate to guys who actually have velocity. Not a bad idea. He knows how to pitch better than most. Good point about the harder throwers. Worse case he might be able to be a private pitching coach going around coaching guys who aren't hard throwers who might not normally get too much of a look in high school, college and such. I'd imagine even if a guy can throw 95+ being able to learn how to take speed off it, locate it better, move locations up, down, in, out, fool the batter, works quickly between pitches would still be valuable.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Dan Johnson another quality backup. Good strike zone awareness and has occasional pop. Not very useful defensively but, you can't win them all.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Dan Johnson walks again. And we stashed this guy in AAA this long?
labadee Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 yes! the replacements getting it done
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Jennings out with a bruised knee
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Boy the nay sayers have sure abandoned this thread.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Archer's gonna be out by 5 at the rate he's pitching..
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Turn back while you can. This thread is a doozy Yeah you could tell when a guy was calling the season over in the 1st inning. Luckily I'm focusing more on the game than on the thread.

That's the kind of guy that should be on a major league roster, not Kevin swingstatanythingwithin5feetoftheplate pillar. He might be a big addition if he finds his groove. He's come back looking good thus far. Could be another steal like Francisco. Well, if Francisco works on a few things he could be better.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Friggin Cisco Aaand Reimold is hurt.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 omg Reimold is made of glass
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 While sliding into third? Francisco just keeps giving!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 omg Reimold is made of glass He's been like this much of the time in Baltimore. Let's hope it's not serious.
