Jays: Buehrle recorded victories in two earlier matchups with Tampa Bay, limiting them to three earned runs over 15 1-3 innings. He was one out shy of a shutout and struck out a season-high 11 in a 3-0 win in his season debut at Tropicana Field on April 2. The Blue Jays were 38-24 with a six-game lead after June 6, with 14 games separating them and the last-place Rays. They've since gone 10-21 and have been overtaken by Baltimore, while Tampa Bay has closed within 6 1/2 games of Toronto. Reliever Aaron Loup gave up the go-ahead homer to Albert Pujols in the seventh inning after not allowing a home run in 59 straight relief appearances. Rays: Archer takes the mound for Tampa Bay having pitched at least seven innings in three straight starts. He beat Detroit 7-2 on Saturday, yielding both runs on solo homers over a season-best 8.1 innings. Tampa Bay has won 11 of 15, though it was 3 for 18 with runners in scoring position while dropping two of three to Kansas City. The Rays were 1 for 9 with runners in scoring position in Wednesday's 5-4 loss and Kirby Yates surrendered a three-run homer to Salvador Perez in the ninth. The Rays are expecting shortstop Yunel Escobar to return from the disabled list for Friday's opener against the Blue Jays at Tropicana Field. Escobar has been on the DL with right shoulder soreness, and played two games in a rehab assignment with Class A Advanced Charlotte on Tuesday and Wednesday. Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Gibbons might destroy the clubhouse this series. I can see these next 3 games being a disaster.

Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 You sat that before every series No I don't
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Hopefully the Jays can pull through this series and then take the break to regroup somewhat.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I kinda like this BlueJays lineup. It's as good as it can be. Gibbons is generally pretty good at lineup construction (although hitting scrubby dudes second still gets me).
sh3156 Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 No I don't You do. You are very negative
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Hopefully the Jays can pull through this series and then take the break to regroup somewhat. Agreed. Every day that passes that they don't play is a day their dudes can heal up. Always a good thing.
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 You sat that before every series You just joined a week ago.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Two weak 3rd strike swings looking like both Reyes and Kawi didn't know what to expect :/ Nasty stuff this kid is throwing.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Jays looked lost that inning.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 If there were any questions about whether Archer would be on tonight, they sure were answered. Absolutely filthy.
Bourjos Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 This game is starting well... 3 k's.. lead off hit by Rays... good times!
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Dickey is now starting the final instead of Happ. Supposedly it's for the "dome effect" on his knuckle ball.
Bourjos Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Reimold read that horribly....................................... FUN TIMES PEOPLE
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Well, that f***ing sucked. Bunt for an IF hit to load the bases.
