Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Honestly, if we win by one, it will be a replay from the 2nd inning. The reason I believe the protest will be successful is because if the catcher knew Kawa was out, he would have tagged Encadwin. Jays have to win by two or more to negate the protest. Unless they lose the game of course.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 This will be interesting if the protest ends up being heard. I mean, I get what Melvin is pissed about, his catcher made a decision not to tag Edwin because the ump signalled Muni safe from the tag so as far as he knew, it was a force play. So if the call was wrong, why should it cost the a run? Flip side, since the call was reversed, you can't call the play dead, so the result of the play as it happened seems to be correct. Is this the first time a manager has challenged one of his own players from being safe to out?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I do not like watching R.A. Dickey throw a baseball. watch the way you talk about our ACE like that
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Gibbons deserved that for playing Edwin in LF...
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 There you go Wilner, now will you shut up about people that don't want Edwin in LF?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 This better be the last game Edwin plays in left. Completely retarded move.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I do not like watching R.A. Dickey throw a baseball. enjoyed watching Niekro and Hough throw knucklers.... Dickey is like a f***ing slo pitcher
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I hope that ends the E5 in left field experiment.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Why would this cause a brawl? Have you watched latino ball players (thinking Machado, ManRam here)? It's usually at first base where I've seen it happen where the player doesn't go to the bag he tags instead but it's kind of this thing where if you don't need to tag you are somehow disrespecting the runner by tagging him.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 okay...Edwin I get...but how did gose take such an awful route to that ball
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 And that's what happens. This one is on Gibby.
