mitchf Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 This inning suggests that Delabar is now the de facto "you're horrible, go out there and embarrass yourself" reliever on the squad.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Yes, but francisco has cost them more than he has given them. That's incorrect, look at his WAR.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 That is insane. That ball is right down the middle.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Like Delabar is obviously a talented guy. Good stuff and throws hard. If the organization actually valued him they would allow him to go down for a while and work it out. They've just completely mismanaged this situation.

His stuff is not nearly as good as last season, plus he doesn't throw as hard and his command is now s***. Guy has gone from being a dependable reliever to less-than mop-up duty in the blink of an eye.
StamafiaNeigeratsu Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 So where are those people who were saying it was just a minor slump Time to admit you were wrong, everyone could see this was coming...

Gibby is one of AA's last cards to play. If s*** goes really bad you fire him in the offseason and then AA gets a little bit more rope with a new manager.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Don't worry guys, the playoffs will be easy to make......too soon?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I think we need a huge lineup shakeup to get us going
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Pitchers continue to pussy foot around hitters when they're up 0-2. Just bury them. Instead, they get themselves into even or plus counts.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 why not try Drabek out of the pen in the bigs? He's hardly walking anyone (he had a bad 3 game stretch early in the season) and it doesn't look like they are going to give him a look at starter without a huge rash of injuries. Let him throw max effort.

If this team doesn't qualify, the entire front office will be gutted with the exception of the president, who seems to be able to get away with murder these days.

mitchf Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I have to admit though, I bought into that run. We had Morosi on the fan every other day talking about who the national anthem singer will be for the playoffs, magazines talking about our all-world hitter, Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista developing leadership qualities. All while we were one big hitter (Juan) and one big pitcher (Hutchison) removed from falling apart.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Suggested this two months ago already. Drabek has said multiple times he has no interest in being a reliever. Obviously it's not up to him, but the idea has been brought up and he quickly shot it down.
