eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Dickey's last start (WPA): Dickey: -.231 Loup: .469 Pen has bailed this guy out so much. No more excuses. He pitched well in the middle innings (credit for that) but we should be holding a former CY Young winner getting paid 10M a year to higher standards. He is not terrible but these late inning collapses are f***ing horseshit. Throw f***ing strikes.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Bautista trying to get on the highlight reel. Could've easily caught the ball standing up.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 You guys are f***ed...... he retires 11 in a row, gets f***ed by a terrible route from Bats and the Ump and you jump on him now? f*** this stupid f***ing GDT ********. I just don't understand the hate on for a pretty good start. I flat oput would have left him out there to get the ground ball double play which he is good at. i think gibby pulled him cause he saw he was flustered by the bad call.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Wow Jose, wanna make a f***ing play out there for f*** sakes?

He pitched well between innings 2 and 5. Did he implode? No. But that was not a good start. We now have to get 4 innings from our freaking bullpen during the first game of a series.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Bautista is screwing us tonight

I think Gibby pulled him because if you look at past performance, he has gotten into trouble in the fifth or sixth almost EVERY time out. His OPP. B.A and OBP the second and third times through speaks volumes about what he does at that point in the game.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Anyways, enough talking about Dickey. Lets all fap to McGowan now. f***ing nails.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I know people don't love it when this is posted, but Dickey's start was good for a 5.37 xFIP, it was an awful start.

Even if you aren't SABR-supportive, the guy threw 5.1 innings against the Minnesota Twins and left with the bases loaded. That is not acceptable.
Jaysfan_85 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Why is Gibbons always going to Loup when Cecil has been underused? I mean do you wanna blow Loup's arm out by July?

That is not acceptable. When evaluating a single start I would rather look at the non-SABR stuff like the actual score, how the game is going, who they're playing, ect. In this case both say it wasn't a great start, so we're all good.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Reyes should really hit another home run for me.

A single start is exactly the opportunity to use it.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Gose gets on base. something Colby can't do
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Why is Gibbons always going to Loup when Cecil has been underused? I mean do you wanna blow Loup's arm out by July? Cecil is actually in the top 40 this year in the majors in appearances. He might've had a bit of dead-arm there for a while. He threw a lot early on. You'll probably see him get more appearances from here on.
