Gose has a .375 BABIP and 13.6 LD% lol I love small sample size

ZiPS has him at near league average production in total. If we moved Rasmus+Sanchez for a truly useful piece, yeah, Gose would be a fit.

LOL what does FIP say about that near HR? Gose saving hendricks ass.

FIP doesn't care about fly balls, it gave Hendriks credit for the out. xFIP does, it doesn't like fly balls.

Neither care too much about the ball dropping or not, which is the important thing. The pitcher can't control how good his defence is.

Yes you can. That's why D-Mart was on the phone, and why the commentators were talking about a potential review. Are you even watching the game?

I'm pretty sure it has happened a bunch of times this season, it's called the neighbourhood play or something, IIRC it can't be reviewed.

Maddon has had a materially negative impact on this series.

He's could've had multiple plays overturned but didn't challenge.

His intentional walk with a runner on first backfired as well.

I still think he's the best but even the best managers make some poor decisions.

I don't know why you're bothering.

BABIP regression might not be so bad for someone as fast as he is.

They need to be proactive in getting Hendriks out of the rotation.

He got us a good result in the first game and he's kept us in this game. Great.

But he's clearly not an MLB starter. He's a less fat Aussie version of Jesse Litsch.

Do you realize even Jo Jo Reyes can have a good xFIP over less than 2 game sample-size?

Yes! It's a small sample either way. We're nowhere close to being able to establish Hendriks' true talent.

All we can say is how he has pitched in the opportunities he's been given. And after that inning, Hendriks' xFIP is now 5.32 for the game. So I'm with you guys now on him pitching poorly.

It can't be reviewed when it's the first half of an attempted double play. Since he made no attempt to throw to first, it was a reviewable play.

f***..........Whine day thread. *Cough*TIEGAME*Cough*

I think everyone's calling how bad Hendriks is. No one is whining at Jays. Relax.

OK I'm just gonna enjoy the game now! :)

Wasn't aware of that.

ZiPS has him at .330ish, Steamer .314ish (.330 and .301 RoS). Somewhere in the middle sounds reasonable.

My hope is a 90 wRC+. He's showing the beginnings of better discipline. Less K's, higher BB's, less swings outside, more swings inside, normal amount of swinging strikes. Less contact is an issue though.
