Hendriks can (presumably) be IL'd. Keeping Bauer on your active dynasty roster for 2024 if he doesn't sign in the next couple weeks would be pathological

Yeah I could stash Hendriks on the IL and if he comes back healthy, I think he could return to elite form. We've seen relievers pitch well into their late 30's. As a team contending, don't want to waste a roster spot on Bauer if he doesn't sign anywhere and even if he does come back, doubt he pitches like a No. 1 or 2 starter.

Even with all the tech issues, Fantrax is waaaay better than Yahoo.

come to mind as non-blue chip guys who seemed to get a bit of helium this spring

Not that I have seen. Not like that. The guys who had great springs as young prospects were already all top prospects. Delauter, Wood, Spencer Jones. Brock Wilken was a top FYPD pick. Andy Pages was a hot commodity a year ago.

 

On the pitching side the story is a few post-hype breakouts. Well, possible breakouts. Puk, Ryne Nelson, Weathers, and Luis Gil.

Also pitching models adore Jared Jones.

Of the three, I would focus on Gil

Gil always had great stuff.

Matos is just good, based on prospect pedigree and prior stats.

Weathers, I've heard that he changed his pitches. Pitch design breakout?

I think we already know how it will go. Uribe for saves, Payamps and the other P (?? escaping me at the moment) for holds.

 

Uribe has the best stuff, but I think he also had some control issues. Unless he blows it, literally and metaphorically, I think he will have the most value due to saves. Payamps after Uribe.

In a new keeper points league where homeruns and steals are worth big points (15 each compared to 3 for a run or RBI) but Ks also count as a negative(-2). I have Elly De La Cruz. Should I try to sell high now and if so who should I target?

Elly's K rate has been dropping. A free swinger before, he's gone too far the other way and become too selective. When he finds the right balance it will be massive. I expect him to get better, not worse. Hold.

That's what I'm leaning towards at the moment. I also have Witt so the two of them will provide excitement for years to come. There is a IF slot so both can be used. I've been tempted to float him to the Jrod owner to see if they will bite given his slow start.

Elly for J-Rod is an interesting proposition. If I'm the J-Rod owner, I say no, but it's not a hard no. Elly's speed and power is incredible. < 15 seconds home to home lol
