I have Encarnacion-Strand and he was supposed to be my first baseman of the future, but I just got offered Taj Bradley for him. I'm weak at 1st base and P, and I don't know how to compare the two. Who would you take?

Id take CES

Thanks.

Another question. There are a couple players available and I have a space open. Who would you take: Matt McLain, Jordan Westburg, or Ben Brown?

What L54 said is right about Tampa pitchers and SP inning limits. However, there is also McC who is an exception and will be left in 7 innings.

I also agree normally hitter over pitcher, BUT, I think TB is the more valuable asset to have right now. I would scoop him while I could… Mis .02 cents

Thanks for all the help.

I told the guy I was going to stay with Strand and he message back and asked would I take the deal if he included Miranda. So I guess it would be Strand plus some scrub for Taj and Miranda. Miranda should get 1st eligible every year, right?

Miranda is borderline relevant in a lot of leagues.

Miranda sucks

Just keep CES

One last question: I might be able to get Manzardo for Roasny Contrares. Then I could get Taj for CES. I should make those moves, right?

Yes, when do you plan on contending, or is it already viable, I'd do that in a NY minute to be honest. Going out is Roasny and CES and coming back is Manzardo, Bradley and Miranda, right?

Yeah, I won't compete this year for sure, so just the best going forward.

That's what I was thinking too. Thanks.

**SSS alert**

It's that time of the year where finding the breakout guys has kind of just ended but one name to watch for is JJ Bleday.

I don't know what adjustments he's made or if he's had a talent change or what.

But he's cut his K rate by more than half (27% last year in AAA to 12.6% this year) and it seems to be translating over to the bigs in an extremely small sample size.

Definitely worth a look.

CD don’t know sheeet

Generally speaking

f***ing Connor crawling out of some stinky hole in the ground to comment. That’s why year in year out my teams out perform yours in leagues which we are in together. The other leagues I have good teams you are too scared to compete or put your money where your dirty mouth is…

Strong side platoon, maybe.

How willing are you guys to play the pitching matchups on a daily basis? Mookie Betts has 2B eligibility in my league so I've got a ton of flexibility.

So today I'm thinking of playing:

-JJ Bleday, lefty batting cleanup vs. RHP Clay Holmes in Yankee Stadium (good for power hitting lefties)

-Alex Kiriloff, lefty batting cleanup against RHP Smyly at home

Instead of:

-Marcus Semien, righty batting leadoff vs. RHP George Kirby

-Hunter Renfroe, righty (not sure of lineup position yet) vs. LHP Framber Valdez (he's a lefty but his splits don't seem to matter much)

What do you guys think of making lineup decisions like this? Semien and Renfroe are bon a fide fantasy players, Semien especially, but they both have tough pitching matchups. Bleday and Kiriloff are upside guys but they have far better matchups. Curious to what people think.

I do it all the time but not for a guy like Semien

Renfroe I play matchups with in the DDL but that's because I have seven f***ing outfielders

I feel like if your roster lets you platoon Semien then you might as well trade him because he's a locked in starter for someone else...

This is getting tiring

On the flip side, he hasn’t hit the IL but I think the dream of him being an MVP candidate if healthy is gone
