As board Sheriff my job is to "sheriff" the board. What that means is that I must patrol the whiny crybabies and spazzes who attack the board. Sometimes it's an Orioles Hangout troll, sometimes it's a Greg Bird superfan.

 

But, as Sheriff it's also my job to protect the mild-mannered contributors who simply mind their own business from the board retards like you.

 

So really I'm just here to both protect and to serve. Hope that clears it up for you.

Connor, I asked a question about Espino. And you bring up the league thing again. You brought it up before and questioned how could I be posting on here if I couldn't take on the league. And you've been implying that I'm exaggerating my illness.

 

To make it clear, this is the only forum I interact with. Seriously, no other. I enjoy being a part of this community. And it felt really good to be asked to join the league at the time. I wanted to be more involved. And I went against my better judgement and thought I could take it on. As soon as I realized I wasn't really able to, and thought I'd be inactive at points, I didn't want to disappoint anyone here. So I was upfront as soon as I could be to let you all know as I didn't want to negatively affect the league. But I still felt like ass doing it. The other few leauges I'm in, I have no interaction with them in any way. I wouldn't be disappointing them on the same level.

 

I don't know if you've been through a complete mental breakdown, but it's a living hell. I'm only now coming out the other side. And bringing up stupid s*** like me backing out of the league and implying I'm lying or exaggerating was dragging me down a lot today. Maybe if I was stronger mentally, it wouldn't. But like I said, I've cut out everything lately if I don't feel peace. And I didn't today.

 

If you understood the hell I've been in the last 3 years, maybe you'd better understand. My health issues are very real, unfortunately.

 

Anyway, you apologized, so I have no issue with you.

L54 drafted him TWICE in the draft and hold league we just started last week, so he must be good.

In a deep roto league he could be a useful bench piece or MIF option. Might steal 50 bags and hit .250 which wouldn’t actually be a crazy outcome

 

Be interesting how much the new rules inflate SB’s.l and who benefits the most. Is it the guys that steal 8-10 who now steal 20 or the guys who steal 30 now steal 50

Yes in LoD we traded him for James Kaprielian, the #2 SP for the Oakland A's.

 

Definitely confused on the term #2 SP. You traded for a replacement level SP in reality

Top 100 list publication, it was revealed that he still has a tear in his shoulder and will miss the first few months of the year. Chronic shoulder issues have derailed the careers of countless pitching prospects, and the new information caused Espino to be repositioned from the 60 FV tier (he was close to 12th overall on early drafts of the list) to here, where both his ceiling and heightened “bust” risk are factored in.

George Springer for Bobby Miller, Brett Baty, and a 3rd that will be like #45 likely.

Fair? Springer team is rebuilding and has a need at both positions

in a 30 team dynasty no way, i am keeping bobby miller.

in a small league and you're contending with a glaring need for OF I'd lean Springer.

 

Baty and the pick is irrelevant imo

20 team board league. You’re throwing Baty in the trash already? Or you mean you’d do it just for Miller?

It's a lot for Springer, but it depends on league depth. Baty gets a lot of prospect love too and he has solid enough projections

You guys should write Fantrax and tell them to stop using their nonsense projections. Just import one of the other ones unless it’s proprietary and you can’t. Like how can you project Baty for .860 OPS and it’s annoying bc that’s the screen you start with, unless you can permanently change it

At least for me Baty feels like an average infield bat you could pickup off waivers which is not terribly valuable in a 20 team, though he does seem to have a clear path for MLB playing time in the near future, I just don't feel like his ceiling is particularly high even when he was mashing in double-A
