Convo Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Defense didn't do him any favors there. Yeah...
OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Im guess 3-4 but hard to tell until they let him start Thole's pitch selection didn't do him any favours tonight. He should been pounding hard, down and in. Then finishing with the slider. Not vice versa.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Indians are kicking ass tonight.... .500 was nice while it lasted.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Stroman on fire http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view3/1552948/gasoline-fight-o.gif
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 the horrible part about this game is that it could have been worse. Indians have left a small tribe on the bases tonight. giving up 16 hits is fugly.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 lool we burned a year of control on Stroman for him to get torched in his first few MLB appearances He wasn't even on the 40-man roster. If they were gonna burn a year of control on anyone, it should've been Stilson since he'll be reliever. Too late now.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Minding the results, how has Stroman looked? I'm thinking pretty good, maybe capable of being a 4-5 starter. Here is my 2 cents on Stroman: He hasn't convinced me he is Pedro Martinez reborn, or even Tom Gordon. Any power pitcher under 6'0 is in serious danger of arm problems. Tommy John is in his future and probably some rotator cuff issues. I know people wont like this suggestion, but I feel like we should be shopping Stroman while he is still blue chip.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I'll bet Hutch is, but they dont have anyone else and will probably have to use someone from AAA at the end of the year. Gibbons can spin the no limit non sense about Hutch, but it's not likely he goes 200 innings this year. I'd agree that Hutchison is on an innings limit. However, they're letting McGowan and Happ start over their top pitching prospect so what would be so different about moving Hutchison to the pen to start the year and let Redmond or Rogers start? I really don't see much difference between Redmond, Rogers, McGowan and Happ except that Redmond has been a bit more successful than the other 3 over the last year or so. I really wish there was a method to their stupidity, but I can't find it. They're babying Stroman who pitched close to 140 innings last season, but they aren't babying a guy who pitched around 60 innings in 2013 while coming back from TJS.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Jebus... raise the f***ing white flag already
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Stroman > wagner....lol

baubau Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Someone able to get the gif of Gibby walking into the dugout and place "f*** this s***, i am outta here" on it? Be gold! Probably be use a lot too...
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Who is that guy that has been yelling for innings? I'm impressed.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 f***ing tabler: "id just throw some fastballs here" Oh really, just like you did when you were a major league pitcher eh? or calling the game from behind the plate? Keep the personal analogies to things you know something about.
Gen.Disarray Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Just got in. 12-2 eh? What the hell happened tonight?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Just got in. 12-2 eh? What the hell happened tonight? Mcgowan Rogers Rookie Stroman Wagner Self explanatory
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Lol, Thole gets drilled in the chest by a foul ball, and Buck says: "He had it in his glove but just couldn't hang on."
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Mike McCoy 2.0 on the mound folks. Can't miss it!
Convo Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 McGowan is the new Jo-Jo Reyes It's the low K% that's really concerning. Maybe Gregg Zaun can STFU about him having the "best stuff in the organization" now...
