gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 funny how a guy with a 3. 5 era and allowing 58 hits in n51 innings with a 1.35 whip can be pitching a perfect game into the fith against a supposedly potent offense that everyone needs to watch out for? Gotta love it how inconsitent this team is and tends to make the most average of pitchers look like cy young at times. Then you get idiots like this helping him out by swinging at pitches in the dirt. Good for a laugh for everyone...to bad it's at the expense of our professional sports organizations. lol
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 McGowans pitching is not the story here. One runner in five innings is the story. In a vacumn maybe, ober 162 games pitching is the big issue with this team, not offense, every team gets shut down from time to time.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Yeah, would have been fun if McGowan was getting that call all night (since my stream is probably behind the game, the 2nd strike to Lawrie)
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Improving his RBI:Hits ratio, aww yeah!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 McGowans pitching is not the story here. One runner in five innings is the story. Holy f*** guys, this is baseball. More downs than ups and last i checked, we're a top 5 offense.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Thole missed a meat ball down the middle.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Hope Pillar does something here.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Trying to pull that down and away sinker is a fools errand got to change you approach.
Bunchedundies Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 lol, terrible at bat, looked lost.
Convo Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Pillar doesn't seem to have an idea at the plate. How has he hit .300+ at every MILB level?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Can we just cut pillar....never gonna be even a 4th of
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Pillar has obvious issues with MLB pitching. I think it's more mental than anything.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Jesus, Pillar getting carved up. At least call up Gose to start against righties and Pillar against lefties, I'm sure that would be ideal.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Pillar doesn't seem to have an idea at the plate. How has he hit .300+ at every MILB level? You would think he'd at least have a much better approach. Wow.
Convo Verified Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Classic case of trying too hard I think
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 To be fair, that pitch could have made a lot of legit batters look silly. This is true, Kluber has got some nasty stuff, made Edwin look just as foolish.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 MiLB pitchers can't do what Kluber just did His problem is that he is consistently down 0-2 in every AB. That first pitch swing and the way he he was way ahead instead of thinking gap to gap, is indicative as to why he is always behind in the count. It's funny because i saw him play in Buffalo and his approach is totally different, could be a confidence issue.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Seriously, this ump is now giving the Indians these calls 'cause they complained earlier. f*** this (and all) ump(s)
