G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 LOL @ "corridor of the heap" and "one arm above the average"
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 http://www.spanishdict.com/ 'Best known for its ability to bat for power and average, Diaz is considered a corridor of the heap with a arm above average and defense below average. Of the two leaflets (Alvarez and Diaz), is the most prepared is to play in the Big Tent." ' Known for his ability to hit for power and average, Diaz is considered a corridor of the heap with one arm above the average and defense below the average. Two leaflets (Alvarez and Diaz), is prepared is to play in the big tent.' Works Is this the way my english sounds for all of you? lol Corredor, no corridor = runner Gran Carpa = Big league, no big tent
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Corredor del monton = run-of-the-mill
Smedley Butler Verified Member Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Quickly Alex, get on the phone with his agent and play him to despair!
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Diaz faked his birth certificate to not get into the international sign system (under 23 years old) and be an unrestricted free agent, with that move, he could sign for any kind of money. He was suspended for long period of time and now he's over 23 years old. Blue Jays depth 2B future: Franklin Barreto - R Andy Burns - Utility guy Christian Lopes - Can't run, no discipline Smith Jr - New in the position When did Smith jr move to 2b? I really like your posts by the way.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 When did Smith jr move to 2b? I really like your posts by the way. This season , possibly Smith Jr 21 2013: A (10% BB, 17% K, .104 ISO, 25 SB and 117 wRC+) MIF Bat
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 When did Smith jr move to 2b? I really like your posts by the way. He took reps there last season. His tools fit best at 2B. It is hearsay but apparently he's going to shift to the infield. We'll have to wait and see to be certain though.
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Smith Jr 21 2013: A (10% BB, 17% K, .104 ISO, 25 SB and 117 wRC+) MIF Bat I agree he profiles more like a 2b. It's more common for a guy to go from the if to the of though. Would be funny if he's the one who eventually makes it.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 "Cardinals held a private workout for free agent Cuban shortstop Aledmys Diaz on Wednesday. They are expected to make a formal offer very soon." Game over
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Watch the Jays spending a s*** load of money on one of these unknown Mexicans instead of a proven MLB starter.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Watch the Jays spending a s*** load of money on one of these unknown Mexicans instead of a proven MLB starter. I for one would be quite pumped if we got Diaz
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Watch the Jays spending a s*** load of money on one of these unknown Mexicans instead of a proven MLB starter. Racist.......... Sometimes you sound like a German!
The_DH Verified Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 If we won't sign somebody we need now then why will we get into a bidding war for a future player?

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Torres indicated that his client would focus his decision on maximizing dollars and opportunity. "We know he's going to be in the major leagues," said Torres. "It's only a matter of time. His preference is shortstop, but he's played second and third and I'm sure would be comfortable playing whatever position is necessary." Good sign at least. I assume you could make sure he knows that Reyes won't be a shortstop forever if he is really set on getting an eventual shot at SS.

Starting 2B job wide open, chance to slide to SS in the near future, oft-injured left side of the infield will provide opportunities in the short term as well. That's not a bad gig.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 And a hitter's park. Now all we have to do is make his agent despair and we're golden.
Jim_Ackers_balls Verified Member Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I heard this guy's bat is not worth having. Think Hech.

Pls stop referring to Cubans as Mexicans...at least go with unknow Caribbean players, they are literally nothing alike, whereas the latter are.
