HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 What, a 2 year ban? The only appropriate penalty is to nullify the remainder of a contract. There is still very minimal risk for a player.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Meanwhile the NFL is America's sport and turns a blind eye to the rampant use..lol.. as does the NBA with hgh for their aging stars.. f***ing Selig.. what a joke
McD Verified Member Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Totally agree with herpderp. Nullify the contract on top of a two year ban - its gained under false pretences. Second instance should be lifetime ban.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Teams would roofie their own players to get out of bad contracts Make the teams still pay like 75% of the contract, but that money goes to youth baseball development or something.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Teams would roofie their own players to get out of bad contracts Yep. The teams have to take more responsibility in this. I'd require that half of the money lost by the suspended player is donated to the team charity, and none of it is deducted from the luxury tax calculation.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Yep, there has to be some kind of system that causes teams to discourage PED use by their players. Team has to be partly liable somehow. And not like "Yankees miss having ARod play for a whole year" liable...

Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
