G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 He WANTS Garza/Jimenez/Jackson money I'm actually a bit surprised no one has given it to him Offer him 4/44. I think he'd take it.

Yeah somewhere around 3/37 to 4/45 should work. Everyone else got 12.5 x 4 maybe 12.5 x 3 works by now. The need for him isn't going away.

Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 This team remains stubborn in their thinking that we have enough pitching. A sane owner would have canned Beeston and AA by now, but sanity appears to be something that's been lacking in this franchises thinking for the past 20 years.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 We have enough depth in AAA What we don't have is enough guys who are proven MLB starters that we can expect to get 30 starts from. We probably have exactly TWO of those.
Cooler Heads Prevail Verified Member Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 AA really has to sign Santana. The rotation is already going to be bad, but we're a single injury away from all-out gong show territory. One good thing that's happened so far is that Drabek, McGowan, and Happ have been the gas cans we all know they are. We don't need one of them having a good spring and giving AA an excuse to rely on them this year. Perhaps AA has read all the negative posts that you and others have made about Santana and decided he's not worth a contract. Kind of strange that you'd pull a 180 and recommend they sign him now.

Speaking of pancakes, who else enjoyed pancake Tuesday yesterday?

flafson Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Now that's an ouch. It also means that he wants to play now.

Funny enough. I doubt either of them see that much on a one year contract.
