G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 It seems like Cano's camp is leaking everything to pressure the Yankees into caving. Yep. Jay Z does NOT want Cano signing in Seattle I don't imagine. He wants the Yankees to pay up.
Tuco Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 It seems like Cano's camp is leaking everything to pressure the Yankees into caving. This whole SEA thing just seems like Cano and Jay Z using them as bargaining leverage. Mariners prolly think they have a legit shot to land Cano but there getting played from the start. Id literally be floored if Cano leaves the Yankees for friggin Seattle.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 It seems like Cano's camp is leaking everything to pressure the Yankees into caving. Cano's family is offended by the way the Yankees are acting. Cano fired Boras to please the Yankees (when the Yankees exercised the option)
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 1-Yanks 2-Nats 3-Mariners 4-Rangers If Toronto makes a good offer could be the Cano's second option.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 ughhhhhhhh You can be literally floored, no?? Like lying on the floor in shock. (OK, fine, I grimaced at the use of "literally" there too)
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 How much more would Toronto need to offer than the Yankees for Cano to accept? I don't know, Cano doesn't usually talk about that, he's a pro but...............official source, I can tell you that Cano would love to play with Esmil and Reyes (Cano's gardener)

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Cano's father is in charge for all business (baseball). He's the boss, Cano is a child lol Cano's father and Boras had a fight. Boras told Cano's father "You can't say in public that Cano wants to be a Yankee forever"
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I literally die everytime someone makes that mistake. I could care less about that mistake. Everyone does it so why bother getting worked up. stopstopstopstopstopstopstopstopstopstopstopstopstopstop

GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I would give Cano 10-24 in a heartbeat. I'll be upset if Alex doesn't bring Cano in to play with his Dominican brothers. Shame we missed out on future non-HOF'er Justin Morneau to play with his Canadian brother.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 O Quiet yer mouth yuh uphill bike jockey! Oh good, now we've turned this thread into a tribute to spanky

GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 These owners should police themselves and collude to never give out deals more than 5-6 years or something That wouldn't be obvious.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Good read from Rosenthal on this whole Cano thing.
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 If the Yankees are only willing to pay 170 mill, then there will be a team that offers him more than that.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 NYY here we go f***kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Makes me feel so f***ing warm inside to read that report. I hope it's true. Sure it helps us far more if he ends up in Seattle rather than New York, but it always feels good to see *******s lose money. I used to love Cano until this whole thing went down. This guy was a f***ing kid in the Dominican Republic. He's seen the conditions there and how desperate kids are to get out of there, how baseball is their only ticket to a life. He should be thanking his lucky stars that he had baseball roots in his own family, which no-doubt helped in his discovery, but instead they pull this s*** with the Mariners, who were essentially bidding against themselves for the sake of it. The Mariners are completely justified in being pissed off about it.
