ace3113 Verified Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I would not exactly call that crowing but it was enough to antagonize Stoeten. Given how thin-skined he is and given that he has helped promote the site, it's probably best to not engage with him at all. Oh crap, if he's really that thin skinned, he's not going to like the cartoon I'm working on. lol (I won't be connecting it to Breaking Blue if that's the case, or he will hate us with the white hot passion of a thousands suns).
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I have good contacts in DSL. I will make my contributions as well. ""The sum of all parts"" Do it Ang! Breaking Blue, Chief Dominican Consultant!
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I think whoever made that comment ensured that Stoeten will never mention BB again lol.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Stoeten is such a baby. Why would anyone read his stuff? I guess he has some 13 year old fanboys that giggle at swear words, but does he ever write about anything of substance? I mean, some of us actually have a good picture of what this front office is generally like and AA's horrendous string of moves back this up. He dares insult US for calling for something that should happen sooner than later? He still thinks the Jays look at metrics! Now he has a grudge for some reason. What a f***ing hipster meathead.
TRM Verified Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 So is Steamer just a lot higher on the Jays then they should be? Or are we a lot lower as a board than we should be? I mean, it's hard to argue with that data.

TRM Verified Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Yeah. Also, Steamer has a ~1 WAR for JPA and Melky. Getting some positive contribution at C and LF, whether it's from these two guys or not, as well as at 2B will go a long way to getting right on the back track.
admin Site Manager Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 JayS Fan Rearrange the bold letters
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Lol it wasn't me, someone comented on BB saying that I was mentioned in the chat. The only bad thing here is you set the bar so f***ing high off the bat..lol..now your new material has to meet the specs.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Lol nope! We have a few new writers. you've a difficult challenge. TIPS 10/10 Dickey effect 9,8/10 New stuff ???

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Apparently I'm the only Darrell not writing for this blog now.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I like NJH's addition to the Nolasco article. Is this how breaking news stories are going to be covered in the future (GD posts terms and source, NJH later does the analysis)? I think it works. We're still feeling it out but yeah, I'm thinking that might be the formula.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 I heard the CC in CC Sabathia actually stands for Chris Carruthers.
8D Verified Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Even if this might be the peak of the blog, I'm really glad and fascinated to see how this community on a whole has evolved. From the good old days on that s***** ass MLB forum, where we had to have one, if not the most active MLB board.. maybe even on the internet for strictly following baseball. All sorts of hilarious characters, baseball intellectuals, regulars and the dogg. But eventually that place ran it's course and this new board started a new boom. A lot less trolls, ignorant noobs lead to a much better platform to communicate. Now this blog and JFaS killing it with publicity in the baseball world. Pretty unique community here. We'll see where this goes.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Georgia Peach's (Gibbers) name IRL is not Chris Brassard.
Frag Verified Member Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Now hiring writers for the blog Requirements: Named Chris Needs moar Darrells!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 You should guys should actually post responses on the blog posts. When casual's go to the blog they'll probably be much more interested if they see a lot of active discussion on there.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Breaking Blue got linked in a MLBTR post http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/11/baseball-blogs-weigh-in-.html

kgm1 Verified Member Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 JFaS Finally read the whole thread and got that . Had a different name from the Shark Tank league we were in .
kgm1 Verified Member Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Stache , NJH , Chris , Not sure if any site does this but it would be interesting to see what an all Free agent WS team would cost . I had estimated a starting rotation would be about 85 million .
admin Site Manager Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 Breaking Blue got linked in a MLBTR post http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/11/baseball-blogs-weigh-in-.html Finally, I've emailed twice askign for a shout out!

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Breaking Blue got linked in a MLBTR post http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/11/baseball-blogs-weigh-in-.html I am uber impressed that you guys are getting all these shout outs. I know the content is great (as I've read it all), but its a different accolade that you got your brand 'out there' so quickly.
