I think they got rid of the Ladies Night. You probably could try your luck on $1 hot dog night

So, did he stick?

Yes he did

Any one of us would’ve taken his career in a heartbeat

Isn't he slim and fit? why did he suck so much?

Excellent defender couldn’t hit s***

Unless baseball reference is wrong, 2.1m by age 35 is not bad. Better than most other career paths he could have taken. Unless he wanted to be a dentist or a lawyer or own a small business. But he made that money playing a game, he didn’t quite stick though. He will be disappointed no doubt.

Dalton Pompey had made 1.6m by age 26 which is also a pretty good head start in life.

I’m sure there are players with more talent like manoah who will have much more regret when they look back on their careers.

$2.7 mil minus taxes. Not retirement money, so hopefully he saved/spent wisely. Not sure what he gets for a pension.

He seems like the kind of guy that might get a job at a baseball academy

But overall, yeah. Led a life most would take.

No but more than the average Joe earns in a lifetime plus all the perks of being a big leaguer and a playoff run in 2015 he’ll never forget

I think I remember hearing on the radio during Bautista’s level of excellence day that Goins wants to get into managing. Guys like him fit the stereotype of those who can’t, teach

Yeah, I was just breaking it down. No doubt a dream life to this point

Too harsh. He played in the best league in the world. He could flash the leather with the best of them. He wasn't a career minor leaguer. Give the man his due.

I don’t think it was really an insult. It’s just a matter of some guys having the know how to pass on to someone else, but they just didn’t have the talent to make it happen for themselves. He’s definitely a step above the career minor leaguer, or guy that had a short cup of coffee

"those who can't, teach" is an insult Connor. Especially to someone who was able to stick in mlb.

He really squared that hanging breaking ball, saw it all the way. Too bad he couldn't do it more.

Ryan Goins sucks and should have retired years ago.

He was mildly interesting for a year but otherwise I couldn't stand when he was on the team. I think because he was bald and hit left handed the casuals thought he was actually good.

He also had a very inflated ego for a player with a career WAR of 0.1. I seem to remember him being the guy who screwed up the pop up against KC in the playoffs too.
