fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 Carl Crawford's 3rd AB in the 3rd inning lol
wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Unless Johnson has a ridiculous August and September he will lose millions on his next deal, but somebody will still sign him for a stupid amount. There is one born every minute after all.....
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 bases loaded for Yasiel Puig. Since we are in #TankNation mode, hopefully he hits a grandslam
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Meh, he's just going to re-up when Toronto offers the QO. probably the best offer he's going to get...
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 LOL at homers telling me we just need to "retool." THIS TEAM SUCKS. It has sucked, it sucks, it will always suck with this roster.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I thought it was pernounced like Mocker and not Maker? Or is Buck Martinez drunk? Anyway this game has become a s*** show. Reyes range? Second base? Hilarious every time he says it. Shoe Maker!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Meh, he's just going to re-up when Toronto offers the QO. He's putting TO in the worst situation possible. Having to make an offer that you're praying will be rejected in order to try and get a pick, likely to watch some other team scoop him up on the cheap and regain his form.

There is one born every minute after all..... when you already have millions in bank who cares he like Buehrle probably just want out of Toronto at this point
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Hilarious every time he says it. Shoe Maker! he says it a different way every time. shoemaker schumakker shoomaker shoommakier... encarnshiuon.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 I really don't think its as bad as you make it out to be We're 7-17 in the last 24 games...... The situation certainly isn't getting better though

FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Just 40 days till college football! True that! At least then I get to watch Boise - a team that meets - exceeds, even - expectations and doesn't overhype a s*** product.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I really don't think its as bad as you make it out to be It's really not. It's not good, but it's not like there isn't some reason to think that bounceback isn't possible in 2014 with a few key moves. I'm not sure AA makes those moves, but ... Can always dream.

They have to. I don't think Johnson gets a 5-6 year deal as many thought at the beginning of the offseason. I say it's likely a 1 year deal based around $8-$10 million + a bunch of incentives so then he can reenter the market the following year and try to cash big. If he doesn't want to stay in Toronto I'm sure he'll sign with another team even if it means a pay cut from what the QO would be.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Nice catch by Crawford and a nice pick by Gonzalez
DH12 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 If the astros sweep the jays or even win the series Rogers should seriously consider selling this team
DH12 Verified Member Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 melky getting lots of playing time before he gets suspended

I think the lineup is fine to be honest when healthy. Reyes, Bautista, EE, Lind, Rasmus, Melky make a solid lineup. They need either a 2B or 3B depending on what they do with Lawrie. As for pitching, that's the concern. Dickey was brought here to be the ace and we are really just seeing a No. 3-4 starter from him this season. Buehrle is what he is - a solid No. 4 innings eater at this stage in his career. Morrow is a huge unknown - can't rely on him to be a No. 1-2. Romero is a mess. Hutch can be a solid addition next season, though who knows how good he can be. The rotation is what needs to be addressed in 2014.
