Sucks for him and hope for a full recovery. But we hear this happen once in a while. If there has to be someone with an unfortunate medical condition like this, it's better that it's the kid of an NBA superstar who already has his life set regardless if he plays pro ball or not and would forever be living in the shadow of his dad if he does. As opposed to some kid trying to work his way out of the ghetto and gets his meal ticket cut short.

That was an ugly win from a starting 5 offense that's probably bottom 5 if not bottom 10 in the league. The defense must come as advertised every night for this team to make the playoffs. That being said, I think I'm going to hate bush league depth at point guard a little less than bush league depth at center this year. Anyone who thought to bet the over 221 points tonight should just call it a season before they lose all their money because they clearly don't know the NBA. Under bets on the Raptors all the way until the lines are 205.

It looks like they've handed the keys over to Barnes more this year and he's off to a good start, but Siakam has been terrible. Love the Raps and want to catch a game or 2 this year, but it could be a long one and unless they really suck, they don't have a 1st rounder in next years draft, which is going to hurt.

Raps are brutal. Siakam, OG, Trent Jr, Poeltl, Boucher have been non-existent.

 

I don't know a lot about basketball but Barnes and Siakam have always seemed pretty incompatible to me. Like, they do the same things so it's awkward when they are both on the floor.

 

One of them needs to be a better 3P shooter, basically.

Barnes should continue to improve and it's looking like he could average more than 20 PPG this season which would be nice. If he eventually becomes a 25 PPG/10 REB/7-8 APG guy with that solid D, that would be awesome.

 

Siakam has been terrible. As well OG and Trent haven't been anything special in the early going. Hope they start giving more minutes to Dick. Love his shot and we saw him drop 16 points in 28 minutes against Philly on Saturday.

 

If you decide to go to some games this season, just purchase tickets an hour or two before tip-off. Did that last night and managed to get seats in Sec 323, Row 1 for $30 each (including taxes and fees).

Ya. It's certainly a concern...Either squeeze into the playoffs or suck terribly. For the good of the franchise (long term), they need to add significant talent. Tanking would net them a really nice piece.

I think it's time to unload OG and Siakam. Possibly Poeltl too. Make sure you suck enough to finish bottom 6 a few years in a row, so you keep your 1st rounder. Build around Scottie

They've really done a piss poor job managing their assets the past couple of seasons. No idea what they do or don't do with OG and Siakam. Almost feels like there's collusion going on. No meaningful player will sign in Toronto and no team will trade with the Raptors. Otherwise, if that's not the case, the Raps have just been completely clueless with assessing what their team is and what to do with their players.
