No argument here. Derozan is only scoring because of free throws, and volume shooting from places on the floor that don't really get defended anymore because they've been found to be inefficient shots.

I guess kudos have to go to him to a point for developing his game to take advantage of it, but theres a reason why you don't hear younger players say they model their game after his.

He's fine taking the 10-14 foot shot its the shots outside of 16 feet but in front of the 3 point line that drive everyone nuts. He has a lot of talent but his Basketball IQ limits how good he is.

Demar probably holds some sort of record for taking shots with his foot on the 3 point line

All star votes only being 50% by fans now seems to have made it a bit fairer. If it was 100% fans both Wade and Zaza would have made it:

East starters:

Irving

DeRozen

Butler

James

Antetokounmpo

West starters:

Curry

Harden

Leonard

Durant

Davis

Lowry, Thomas, Westbrook probably the biggest snubs.

The players are the worst of everyone. I read that Lebron didn't get like 120 votes.

James got 198 out of 324 player votes and was the top vote receiver of any player, 28 more than Durant got:

Demar got 50 more votes than Lowry lol.

Lowry's clearly the best guard in the East but whatever, he doesnt do fancy dribbling like Wall and Irving I gues

Raps should trade Derozan once Lowry resigns if this is the value everyone thinks he has.

The majority of NBA fans believe Irving to be the best guard in the Eastern Conference because he made a 3 one time while riding LeBron's coattails like every other player has. Most would probably take Irving over Curry, the latter is seen as the biggest choker in history apparently.

NBA fans are really stupid.

Irving is rated highly because of his insane handle, you can't deny that he is a very good player on offense, he sucks on defense but that isn't as flashy.

Curry also got more fan votes than anyone except James, so can't really see how you can say most would take Irving over Curry.

I was refering to the media and player voting. Kyrie crushed everyone in the player voting and even John Wall beat Lowry

Kyrie's good but Lowry is a just a lot better.

Lowry needs to excel in the playoffs to be universally recognised as the best guard in the East.

Kyrie is more flashy so has more fans. In a sport like basketball I can fully understand that. Kind of similar to why Leonard will never be as popular as someone like Durant, and the Spurs in general haven't got as many fans with them as their second team as other teams.

Its not even just the fans.. I watched TNT last night and Chuck had Kyrie #15 and the panel was ridiculing him it saying how he should be top 10. They were talking about PG and Lowry's name wasn't even mentioned.

Kyrie is one of my favorite players in the league to watch, and undoubtedly useful, but it's hilarious that he gets included in these elite debates. He's barely top 10 (which is more of a function of his era I guess, a few years ago he'd be a lot closer to top 5).

However - if we recognize the All Star game for what it really is, Kyrie is probably the single best player in the league to have in the game aside from maybe Curry. Just wish it didn't come at the expense of Lowry's personal accolades.

Everyone should probably just post their lists

Who I'd take for the next 3 years

1. Steph

2. Harden

3. Westbrook

4. Lowry

5. Paul

6. Kemba

7. Wall

8. Lillard

9. Kyrie

10. Bledsoe/Teague/Rubio

If Giannis is a PG he'd slot in around Paul/Kemba

For the next 3 years (the ages of Paul, Lowry, and Conley harm their rank):

1. Curry

2. Westbrook

3. Irving

4. Lillard

5. Paul

6. Lowry

7. Wall

8. Bledsoe

9. Conley

10. Rubio / Thomas

Both Giannis and Harden would be top 5 if I thought they'd be PGs for all 3 years.
