35% lol. Keep being in denial. I admire your optimism as naive as it is.

So who is cheering for OKC tonight solely for Trouba95 to go f*** himself?

Even though I can't stand Cleveland and they stand a better chance against OKC than the Warriors with home court and it would lessen that Raptors slim chances of luring Durant...still...it'd be worth it to see one of the dumbest comments I've seen on this board fall apart in front of our eyes. Especially one that should have at least held true with a 73-9 team, even if it was incredibly stupid.

I think the fact of OKC going up 3-1 makes his claim junk anyways. I would never let some dumb poster on a message board alter who I am cheering for lol.

What did he say?

What did he say?

He only came into the thread numerous times to point out how lame the NBA playoffs were, it was a waste of time to even play it out as Goldenstate already had it locked up.

Again he avoided the thread all year only to come in and bash the association a couple of weeks in a row once the playoffs started.

I really don't want to see DD in a raps uniform again. We really must be able to do better than him going forward. Jesus, let CJ move up to starter and fast lane Wright would be better than seeing DD chuck up 35+ shots a night. Wright has more upside.... DD has shown how bad he is and I hope the team gets it.

Per Masai, #1 priority this offseason? Re-signing DeRozan.

Casey is the coach of the future.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15837852/toronto-raptors-general-manager-masai-ujiri-re-signing-demar-derozan-no-1-goal

So Masai isn't as smart as we thought.... DD was a sack of s*** most of the playoffs. The fact that Casey kept him on the floor while he couldn't hit the barn with a tractor, but kept chucking up shots.

I hope someone outbids Masai

OKC players were all chirping at each other and pointing fingers when the going got tough. Warriors were a better "team" supporting each other.

Nobody can. Toronto has his bird rights, so the best deal can only come from the Raps

I doubt Masai gives him the 5 year max.

I should hope, and I believe that he will explore all possible options to improve this team before settling for this option. Especially considering that he just signed Joseph and drafted Wright for extensive backcourt depth while the front court needs some work.

Beeston: Re-signing Price is "#1 priority"

hope to god it's a casual fan media play and not his actual plans.

NBA Western conference final had 4 times the TV viewers of NHL finals game 1 last night.

Not surprised really

Well to be fair the game last night was basically the NBA finals. CLE doesn't stand much of a shot agaisnt the Warriors or even the Thunder had they pulled it off

Everyone keeps underestimating the Cavaliers

Not saying I'd bet on them straight up but...

what are the reasons to ever sign a player to the supermax deal? i've got maybe 1 or 2 in my head but i'd like to see what other opinions are. when i think about the supermax sometimes it seems kind of silly honestly.

SUPERMAX = 5yr/$145m deal only available to home team (basically the exact opposite of a hometown discount)

MAX = 4yr/$100m deal available to all NBA teams (i could be wrong on these figures but i think they are close)

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet.

[h=1]Dwane Casey, Raptors agree to 3-year deal: report[/h]http://www.cbc.ca/sports/basketball/nba/dwane-casey-toronto-raptors-1.3612864

I just threw up in my mouth.

But I do acknowledge it's less of a mistake than resigning DeRozan would be. This team needs some elite skill and talent, not 20 foot chuckers.

Also better that the deal replaces his option year instead of adding to it.

Posted

I'm as casual as they come, so I have no idea how good/bad Casey is/can be.

Is Derozan his biggest problem? Is Casey giving too much opportunity to a player who isn't good enough to deserve it? Is Casey good at managing his squad otherwise or is he universally shaky in his decision making?

Golden State is so good. They're cruising by even with Curry and Thompson struggling.

As I expected, Iguodala is coming up huge. His defense and all-around versatility has been excellent.

Who is the coach that would have done better with this group this year?
