Reseeding final four is an overdue move.

 

In season tournament could be fun if the teams take it seriously - all European sports have multiple trophies to play for in a season.

Reseeding the final four is an exercise in futility if the better teams in the east are going to run up their regular season records against the Knicks, Bulls, Cavs etc. The NBA should just go to one conference where the top 16 teams make it and everyone plays each other 2-3 times if they want the best teams in the final four.

 

Also LOL at the idea that a mid-season tournament would ever be taken seriously by contenders.

Would it interest you to know that the east and west have identical records against each other so far this year? The west is running up their records against GS, etc too.

I was watching and kept thinking they're eventually going to run out of gas playing that kind of full court press... But full credit to the Raps for being able to sustain it. Lowry was a monster in the 4th. Realistically though, Dallas should be castrated for that kind of collapse. Giving up a 30 point lead is unacceptable. I'll take it though.

There is absolutely no way any team should blow a 30 point lead with less than a quarter and a half remaining. Full credit to the raptors for not mailing in the game when it looked like a done deal.

Yeah teams with depth and no superstars who play hard every night can rack up regular season wins but will struggle in the playoffs. Last year the Raptors had depth and a superstar, which is why they were so good. I think I'm fine with a competitive 1st round loss or 2nd round loss. Anything beyond that would be an unrealistic expectation for this team. They have heart and depth, but lack the upper end talent. It's going to get exposed in the playoffs unless they find a way to trade for a star between now and then.
