Why? Two picks that will likely have no NBA impact.

 

Maybe. But even shipping out salary it would be nice to get more than a warm body back. Not like they can even really use another centre.

Justin Hamilton can be flipped now or at the deadline apart of another trade. He is an expiring he's irrelevant. Not a bad thing to have though.

 

Moving Carroll had to happen though. I thought adding the second which is likely to range from 30-35 was a bit overkill but at least they got protection on the first if things go to s*** this season which is unlikely but still nice to have protection.

 

This allows the Raptors to resign Norman Powell next season. Gives the Raptors flexibility to do something this off-season. Aka add a 3 point which we desperately need. I think they have another trade lined up that involves Cory Joseph. Maybe even brings back a first. They can look at trading Jonas as well because they seem to want to move Ibaka to the 5.

 

We went to having league minimum options to a variety of options. But it sucks Carroll was signed to that atrocious contract to begin with. At least we don't have to watch him anymore. That's a victory in itself.

This Italy team is so bad. Which countries were involved in this? I'd have to imagine teams like Greece, Spain, Serbia, Lithuania and other Eastern European teams would be more competitive.

Italy was in the U.S. group and lost by 23 in the Round Robin. Canada was in Spain's group and lost to them by 5. France was undefeated and lost to Canada in the QF. Lithuania was the undefeated team in the other group (with Germany the other Euro. Just 5 Euro got in via qualifying in last years u18 Euros) and lost to Italy in the QF. Italy then beat Spain in the Semis and Canada beat the U.S.

Found the qualifying. Serbia was winless in a group with Russia (who beat them by 40), Slovenia and France. Greece was last in their group with Germany, Finland and Turkey. Italy had the easy matchup in the QF to automatically qualify when they drew Finland. I think Europe is really starting to even out though. Huge International result for Canada.

NBA players are very entitled and lack some serious self awareness so this doesnt surprise me.

I can't tell what shocks me more: that Kyrie doesn't want to play with one of the best ever players any more, or that of the 4 teams he is willing to play for, one of them is the Knicks.

 

Weird, it's 1 more season and LeBron is gone anyways. Like playing with arguably the best player of all time is just... unbearable

He was a strong Hillary supporter so we already knew that.

 

We have further evidence with him bitching like a 12 year old little girl on the court to the refs after every play and blackmailing the Cavs' FO into hiring the coach that he wants.

 

Oh, and the 1...2...3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
