dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 And Amir that fourth quarter... I love him but holy fuk.
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Rofl @ this guy. So much fail tonight caught that lol. Tough game, but Lowry came up with the big plays when needed. Not surprising they settled down when he came back off the bench.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 If there's such a thing as bring horribly disgusted with a win, this would be it, but still happy. In any case, just forget it, move on and seal it on Friday.
admin Site Manager Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 Three fouls on three point shots lol. Pass to end the game, imagine it was stolen, right in front of our net. Really you could have just passed it in front of their net, no way you catch and shoot and get it with one second left. Or I'd just keep throwing it off the guy defending me's feet. Take off .1 second at a time. lol
Caper Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Can't you just toss the ball very high onto New Jerseys court? It would be next to impossible for NJ to catch and shoot.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 But would you trust a guy that once shot free throws like this: in a critical situation? What happens when the other team jumps too quick? Does he get to shoot it again if it's a miss? If so it's actually a kinda smart play.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 JV's playoff numbers so far: 29MPG 12.8PPG 10.8RPG 67% FG Release the Jonas. He should be playing 36 mins a night minimum. Guy is a BEAST right now, especially on the boards.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 They play MiA next? The tv people must be so pissed BRK lost BRK hasn't lost yet. The series is 3-2 in favour of Toronto.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 BRK hasn't lost yet. The series is 3-2 in favour of Toronto. Oh. K. Outed myself as a casual. I try to keep up on who advances and watch games deeper into the playoffs. I, like many casuals, would be much more inclined to watch a BRK game. I could prob name 6 guys on that team, 0 on TOR. Sure I'm not alone on that

You forced me to look it up because for a second I thought I had somehow miscounted the games.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I'm curious on how Casey will play it (if we make it to Miami). I can see Jonas getting shafted for minutes if Casey matches Miami and goes small ball. Their starting lineup is Chalmers-Wade-Lebron-Haslem- Bosh. Stylistically it's the toughest matchup in the NBA for us i'd say

Even when Ross is on his game, he can't guard the bigger SF's of the league, let alone a Lebron james. Jonas is really the only advantage we have in the series as Bosh can't obviously guard him, and Haslem is really bad

It's only big men who shoot it like that, but it's not on purpose for a chance at a do over.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I hate John Salmons but it is undeniable that he has shut down Joe Johnson when he's played against him. I just HATE how willingly he chucks up terrible shots. He is a brutal shooter but provides some defensive value. I don't think Ross will get > 10 MPG against Miami. Fields and Salmons please.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 The narrative will be "who can stop Lebron"... But who on Miami can stop Lowry? Who can limit JV? Nobody gave Atlanta a chance against Indy. Not one pundit... and look what is happening. Lowry is playing out of his mind right now. He is single handedly beating a very good Brookyln team (and they are a good team with a lot of talent... They were one of the best teams in the NBA post Xmas). All it'll take is Lebron is lose his shot and we have a chance. Miami is good but they're very beatable. The Raps are hungry.

No way I can get on board with limiting Ross minutes and giving Salmons minutes in a series where it will be higher scoring than this one. Ross' defense has been great the last two games and in a run/gun type game I would much rather see him out there over Salmons. Not even close. Like I said, I could see Amir/Pat being the main defenders of Lebron, with Ross on Wade, Demar on Haslem/James Jones/Ray Allen etc. and Jonas on Bosh
