G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 At least he's finally playing today:
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 A hat. A fitted New Era snapback. Something like this. It's a poor attempt at a rap line and contradictory to his hashtag, it's terrible. What makes it worse is that it seems he, or whoever came up with it, basically stole it from whatever song aselvena quoted and then rearranged the words. He belongs on the Jersey Shore
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Can he play catcher? He was a catcher when he was drafted...
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Can he play catcher? Yep. Drafted as a catcher. He is actually he team's emergency catcher if the other 2 got hurt in a game. I think John macdonald was when he was here

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Lawrie wouldn't last 20 games at catcher.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Lawrie wouldn't last 20 games at catcher. Can you imagine the first guy that tried to run him if he was blocking the plate? Career. Over.
96MPHFB----- Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Lawrie wouldn't last 20 games at catcher. Either would JPA on many teams. Was obviously a joke, but he couldn't possibly do much worse.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Either would JPA on many teams. Was obviously a joke' date=' but he couldn't possibly do much worse.[/quote'] I thi k he meant more that he would get injured even more. Not that he would be bad.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Yep. Drafted as a catcher. He is actually he team's emergency catcher if the other 2 got hurt in a game. I would have thought DeRosa
Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Lawrie 0-3 for Lansing tonight. He is ready.
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 0-2, 2 BB in AA last night. I expect him to be activated by the Baltimore series--likely at Bonifacio's or a reliever's expense.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Is that really a good thing? Redbull at 5 AM? Probably not... Especially for the poor guy sitting next to him on the bus.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 0-2, 2 BB in AA last night. I expect him to be activated by the Baltimore series--likely at Bonifacio's or a reliever's expense. Does he have a hit on this rehab assignment yet?!?!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 3-9 with a 4/2 BB/K ratio in NH. Cool, thanks. I'd only seen the lines on two hitless games.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I think he's just trolling this board at this point...
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Lawrie's clearly in great shape, there's no reason to question his diet choices. Melky on the other hand..
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Cool, thanks. I'd only seen the lines on two hitless games. people only post the negative because they hate lawrie....people will post 0 for 3 last night...not 0 for 3 with 2 walks.....at any rate, he's looked good at new hampshire. I want to see walks out of lawrie and he's had plenty on this rehab stint. Lawrie never fully had his timing down in the majors this year. He was coming around just before he got hurt. His approach and ability to see pitches and take bad pitches was sorely lacking. Thus the walks are more telling than the hits in his rehab stint. If Lawrie improves his approach..he's going to come back a dangerous hitter. I think it's funny that people say he's over-rated....based on everything people on here post, I would guess people on here think he's a .700 OPS player....I would say that's massively under-rating him.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Shouldn't he be playing in Buffalo too before being called up?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Shouldn't he be playing in Buffalo too before being called up? Probably, but I'd rather they not rush him.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Rush him? They have 20 days to rehab him i think, how many has it been already? Feels like at least 2 weeks.
8D Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Once Lawrie is healthy again, RedBull should seriously consider sponsoring Lawrie. Match made in heaven.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Once Lawrie is healthy again, RedBull should seriously consider sponsoring Lawrie. Match made in heaven. Only if he hits > .230
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I miss 2011 Lawrie I know. He looked like the perfect player then. Energy, speed, power. I really hope he gets back there.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I know. He looked like the perfect player then. Energy, speed, power. I really hope he gets back there. i hope they are sending him to a humility course and a there's no dumb ass "I" in TEAM. and he should have to pass the "it's not all about you" course as well. before that, I'd rather not have him.
