fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 Josh Johnson finally gets FIPpy. A 1.15 FIP game. Pre game FIP/xFIP: 4.61/4.07 Post game: 3.96/3.70 Still don't think he looked "great" though. I'm no scout, but I would thank the Rockies for some of those strikeouts. Judging by this video: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=28109019&c_id=mlb&topic_id=vtp_head_and_shoulders and without looking at the AB pitch-by-pitch, strikeouts #4 and #9 were lolz
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2013 Author Posted June 18, 2013 K... you referring to the Austin Hedges idea? lol That aside, I think SD is the best fit if we do fall back out of it, they could really use any of our possible chips. Uhh well lets see, if you're talking about easy to move assets: Lind - No, they have Alonso Janssen - No, they have Street Arencibia - No, they have Grandal Bonifacio - Maybe, but they do have Amerista Rasmus - Sure, but they do have Maybin (DL) Johnson - Yes Long-er term assets? Reyes - I don't think they like his contract, and unless Cabrera gets busted, they don't need a shortstop Buherle - It's a fit, nice big NL ballpark, but probably a last option.... too much $$$ Melk-man - Yes In general, SD I think isn't much of a fit for us

Dr Negative Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 The Padres will almost undoubtedly fall out of the race unless you think Marquis can continue to fluke his way to a 3.63 ERA.
KSaw Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 (edited) I've read in the past about you packaging a couple relievers and a MIF for Kolten, I think, but yes, I'd move Johnson and a reliever for Wong no doubt. It could backfire if he doesn't become what he projects, but he just projects so well, lol. I'd do it in a NYM. I like Wong. I was hoping that we'd draft Wong. That said, JJ, even with his injury history and even in his walk year has a higher trade value. The Cards would trade Wong straight up in a heartbeat and laugh. Toss in a reliever and you get Tyrell Jenkins too. Edited June 18, 2013 by KSaw

Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 We had a teacher last year who teaches two different classes, same subject, and my class's average was higher than the other's. So she gave us (not them) a RIDICULOUSLY hard test to lower our averages. Did horribly. The highest mark from anyone was a low 80. Not uncommon. If you go to university you may encounter some profs who intentionally do this to lower their class average, especially in certain programs.
ReturnOfTheYeti Verified Member Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 You want a taste knob jockey? She's 27 I've had younger gimp, at 40 I still get my fun, unlike you. YOU couldn't get laid in a whorehouse with a fist full of fifties. Which is why you turned to barebacking little boys. lol Spanky. Love it when you get on a roll. BTW, nothing wrong with that age difference, same with my gf and me (even a couple of years more than that). Wasn't last night the game you went with your dad?

It will take more than a couple of relievers to get Wong
