Problematic? He'd still be hitting very well, with an insane walk rate and an OBP over .400

never mind, we're kind of in a high when it comes to Alford. Trust me, i'm excited about Alford and i never thought i'd be after those ugly numbers in Australia, i just think he's got a lot of developing to do.

No one is questioning that, its like he's in the majors, he's in Lansing doing great things

IS Smoral a reliever now?

Jays new strategy: f*** starting pitchers, make everyone revilers. Osuna, Castro and Smoral. Only Sanchez can be da starter!

Hendriks, Tirado

Guessing Smoral is in dunedin so the jays can keep their eye on him a little more closely since that is where the majority of the coaches are as well as facilities.

It's also where extended spring training is, perhaps Smoral is just temporarily filling in and will return to extended spring or go to Lansing once Dunedin gets a replacement pitcher? I know Chris Hawkins played a couple of Dunedin games a few years back when he was just filling in out of extended spring, and back then Hawkins was an actual prospect. (:()

I was at the Bison's game today as was AA. Norris got out of a few jams today but rarely threw the fastball and it sat at 90, although I question the gun today. It had some fastballs in the low 80's that were clearly higher than that...even had one pitch at 63.

Ken Pompey also at the game even though Dalton didn't play...says Dalton will be back playing on Friday.

Might be the perfect time to trade Norris...

So how did Norris look overall? In control? Got lucky? Got unlucky?

Did you also tell AA that Pillar sucks?

You misspelled Sanchez.

For a guy that had pin point command, Norris sure walks a lot.

Command has been a struggle for Norris more often than not. When did he have "pin point command"?

So Norris is a great prospect that is until he meets pete walker.

I wouldn't let Walker 10 feet of another one of my young pitchers.

Pat Hentgen may be available next year.

Now, now Pete Walker was great on King of the Hill.

He looked awfully sharp in spring training but that may not have been representative. The optimist's view would be that he would have kept pitching like that if not for the dead arm phase. Who is the real Daniel Norris? The answer may simply be that it's too early to tell.

Actually, he got lucky..was bailed out twice on great plays by Diaz.

Pillar is not the only one that sucks, the whole outfield sucks. With Joey Bats not out there, they have 3 platoon or dh type players manning the outfield and that will become 4 when Navarro gets back. Kudos to AA for bringing us Donaldson and Travis but there is no way Navarro should still be on this team. Too bad they had to give up Gose for Travis.

Pat is likely ready to be back already. He's been around the park all week.

Tim Locastro 2-4 / 2 SB (21)

Currently .310 / .425(ish).

Alford 1-4 / 1 BB

D.J Davis 2-4

Danny Jansen 1-4. Huge game winning 3 run double in the top of the ninth.

Jesus Tinoco 6 IP / 3 H / 0 ER / 4 BB / 6 K

D.J Davis not being completely awful is somewhat encouraging. Maybe there's an outside shot at him making a serviceable late inning defensive replacement/pinch runner.

It really says something that that's considered encouraging.

When a prospect approaches full bust status, you consider it a huge success if they can even make an MLB roster and serve any purpose.

Odds were already against him to make the big leagues one way or the other.

Is Locastro a prospect? Great K/BB ratio, and seems to be our best base runner in the minors.

Wait and see

He needs to perform in AA first
