jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2025 Posted May 6, 2025 Hopefully Stolarz is alright. Leafs needed to win Game 1. At least worst case they head down to Sunrise tied 1-1.

Literally puking from a head injury is some scary s***. In the end they got it done, don't get complacent and let's not have a repeat of that third period. Spanky99 1
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 We need an Amber alert for Auston Matthews. His goal scoring rate falls off in the playoffs. He's almost invisible in many games. Leafs have no chance to win a cup with Matthews producing like this. Dude just has to produce more. It's especially sad when you see other premier players step up in the postseason.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 Oilers suddenly find the goal prevention and are up 3-1 in the series Nice Spanky99 1

If this was the only time it’s happened it would be one thing but he’s been invisible in big games year after year. For a guy who’s a top 5 player in talent to have 3 goals in his last 21 playoff games is insane.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 This core of Matthews/Marner/Nylander has been together for how long? And they haven't even sniffed an Eastern Conference Finals? This group is never winning the Stanley Cup.

I thought they were done when they lost their opening 2 games at home against the Kings, they're now 8-1 since. As for the Leafs, that s*** last night was embarrassing, In game 3 they had 2 goal leads twice and blew it to take a stranglehold on the series, backs against the wall now, they have to win one in their barn.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 It's getting dark, too dark to see. Feels like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 17, 2025 Posted May 17, 2025 Signs of life for Auston Matthews. Do we dare expect that this will open the floodgates? Yeah I don't think so either but at least there's a sliver of hope.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2025 Posted May 17, 2025 Well, Leafs took one in their Barn, lets get it boys tomorrow night. GLG!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2025 Posted May 19, 2025 When push comes to shove Florida is just a much better hockey team. Kinda shocked the Panthers let this get to a Game 7. But just another thorough beatdown in every aspect of the game.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2025 Posted May 19, 2025 Embarrassing effort... I caught maybe 10 minutes of good hockey. Disgraceful.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 19, 2025 Posted May 19, 2025 There's just no going forward with this group. I don't know exactly where it goes, but this is not a one or two player thing. Need a lot more offense from the back end, that's part of the problem, a big part actually, and need some more guys in the top six that are heavier on the puck. They deserve to be the butt end of every joke coming their way.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 And the re match that hardly anyone probably wanted us happening LOL
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2025 Posted May 30, 2025 I'd love to get to a game but the prices are gonna be stupid Probably cheaper to fly to Florida and go to a game there Spanky__99 1

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 Holy s*** these games have been nuts. And mostly great (other than game 3 which was just embarassing) Series tied. And home ice advantage for Edmonton. Wow. Spanky__99 1

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 F*cking Leafs could've had the Panthers down 3-0, f*cked that game up bigtime. Also, Leafs gave the Panthers the toughest fight, but they choked it all away. Sad really. Brownie19 1
