The Leafs are a bit confounding. Overall the season has been very good, goaltending has been better than in past years but they're not generating the kind of offense they should be even when healthy.

Every game seems to come down to the wire, they're not able to pull away from teams and given the front line offensive players they have, there should be at least a few blowouts mixed in.

Offense from their defense continues to be brutal and Reilly has fallen off this year. I'd say this remains the largest impediment to this team becoming a true contender and probably the one thing that's keeping them from truly unlocking their full offensive potential.

No comments on the 4 Nations?  Weak boys

It's been good hockey, just waiting for the finals now, looks like Canada/US. 3-0 Canada after the 1st.

4-0, Finland has too many injuries.

US has better depth, better goalies, and probably better D

Canada has the two best players though

Canada *probably* f***ed up their team in typical Canadian international fashion by not focusing enough on pure talent or by giving too much thought to old players. Some of the D-men are head scratchers. I used to love Drew Doughty but f*** man, he is 35 and just back from a big injury did he really need a spot? Weegar and Bouchard should have made this team. As a Bruins fan, Marchand is a bit too washed for this and Canada certainly could have done better with his roster spot. Hard to comment on every roster spot but it just seems like there must have been better options for some of the 3rd and 4th lines.

They had the edge in net, don't see much a difference after that, agree about Weegar. Apparently you haven't watched the tourney, meat, Marchand's been great. It's f***ing hard to admit that, bro.

I am taking my son to Pittsburgh to catch a hockey and baseball game in April. My brother in law used to be the assistant trainer for the local QMJHL here and the trainer there is now the head trainer for the Pens. Says he's gonna take us into the dressing room to meet the players. I think I'm more excited then the young fella!

Dallas get Rantanen at a 12M AAV extension, missed the years, for Stankoven and 2 1st round picks, the Canes really fumbled that s*** up, lol.
Necas, Rantanen lost, wow. They thought he'd sign there with his buddy Aho.

Sens did pretty well I think getting Cozens, Gilbert and a 2nd for Norris and JDB.

Norris was injury prone and his contract at 7.9M was pretty ugly, you could have made the case they were better off just getting rid of that deal for nothing.

Cozens has underachieved but lots of guys seem to do better once they leave Buffalo so a good gamble to take for Ottawa.

Very nice deal, especially getting the 2nd, crazy.
