My picks in R1 but what do I know:

- Leafs over Sens

- Caps over Habs 

- Hurricanes over Devils

- Lightning over Panthers

- Jets over Blues

-Golden Knights over Wild

- Stars over Av's

- Kings over Oilers

 

Lightning/Panthers, Stars/Av's and King/Oilers is a flip of the coin IMO. As an upset team, maybe the Habs squeeze by in R1, but will go with the experienced Caps.

The Stars don't have Robertson or Heiskanen, that's too much skill M.I.A, Avs take that series. A Habs upset would be shocking, but I'd love it as the Buds would play them in round 2, but they have no chance against the best team in the Eastern Conference. As for the rest, I agree. Kings are the only dogs that make it through. Leafs/Jets Cup Finals and the Hogtown drought ends.

Yeah Stars missing Robertson/Heiskanen hurts. Was watching the game on Saturday night and while it was close, the Av's pulled away in the 3rd. It's a must win for Dallas tonight in Game 2 at home, or else the series is pretty much over.
