Where? I'm not seeing anything more than "mystery team could be the Blue Jays"

A random dude on MLBTR said that he's hearing it's the Jays and it's a 5.5M deal with incentives and a club option. Have no idea if he's trolling;

Sounds like an AA type of contract, Club Option doesn't make sense for Floyd.

Don't want Floyd. No reason to expect him coming of TJS to be ready and his old self. Could just see the team sticking with him while he struggles for a while, with better options in AAA. Don't believe that THIS year Floyd will be better than even Hutchinson.

Yankees fan trolling on twitter lol

@Ken_Rosenthal report 1st Gavin Floyd signing with yankees 1 year with incentives coming off tommy john surgery better than Santana only 30

Also afraid of this scenario. That's the only detriment I see to this deal (if, in fact, it's the Blue Jays). Not getting my hopes up on him in the first place, there's 27 other MLB teams outside of the O's, Twins and Jays.

According to Encina, It's unclear whether he'll be ready for opening day.

Everybody saying thats its their team that signed Gavin Floyd lol. #MLB #FreeAgentRumors

Kickstarter to bring Gavin Floyd home.

Floyd would be a solid signing. If it's us then surely there will be one or two options on the contract seeing as Floyd may not be ready to contribute to begin the season.

It's pretty surprising that nobody has determined the mystery team yet.

I'm actually getting my hopes up. Probably not a smart thing.

I'd guess one of Astros, Twins, Rays, Pirates, Angels, Mets.

I very much doubt AA is in on Floyd. He's said to be shying away from risk and while Floyd will come cheap, he'll still get a Major League deal (and thus a roster spot).

I read that the Twins are 1 of 2 teams (the Orioles being the other) that the "mystery team" is NOT.

Of course when something does finally happen and there is a chance it could be us, there has to be all this mystery team BS.

The longer this takes, the more chance it's us. IMO.

Where's all the jays reporters on twitter tonight? They have a life or something, not on twitter on Friday night?

I'd take him for depth. For who ever gets injured first. Or maybe even as the #5 if he's ready to go on opening day. In case they wanna give stroman a little more time in the minors.

Stroman should start the year in AAA. We need that type of depth. If he starts the year in the rotation then something probably went terribly wrong.

The longer this goes on, the more I realize that all the speculation was purely fan-based, and the more I realize every other team has just as many fans giving reasons as to why they think it's their club signing him.

It's sort of pathetic when you're thinking this hard about a Gavin Floyd signing, but oh well, this is what we've been reduced to and I don't care.

Is it just me, but Cutch has always looked older than his actual age of 26.

She's gorgeous. Hope they stay happy and together. Good on him.

"I didn't do any of this for the publicity," McCutchen said before popping the question. "I didn't do any of this for the recognition. I did this to show you that if I could tell the whole world how much that I love you, I would do that."

The Cutch is so romantic!! <3

Signing Floyd in my eyes is a dumb idea. The best he gives you is a low 4 ERA. Do you guys not think that one of stro or hutch could put that up? I feel like it would just clog up the rotation and prevent the younger guys from getting a chance to develop. Save the 5 million or whatever it is, not worth it

NY post keeps constant tabs on the Yankees projected 2014 payroll. As of right now projected at 188M

I agree, we need to upgrade quality not just add depth.

Floyd's a good pitcher, I'd say he's a number 3

1-Dickey

2-Morrow (healthy)

3-Floyd (healthy)

4-Buehrle

5-Happ

6-Hutchison

7-Stroman

8-Rogers

9-Redmond

10-Nolin

Romero, McGowan, Jeffress, Drabek, McGuire wait-see
