  1. Definitely do not assume that "money to spend" means "big bat level money to spend." Assuming it is true that Vlad lost his arb case, Jays have roughly 8.5M remaining under the 2nd tax threshold. AAVs of Espinal, Garcia and Richards can free up another 10.8M roughly combined if Jays feel like those 3 can be adequately replaced by cheaper depth options and ship them out.
  2. Seems pretty cheap, good deal for the Twins.
  3. Gate 14 guys called some stuff like callups during the season. They've been gaining sauces.
  4. His ask was 500k lower than Fangraphs arb projection for him. It was widely expected that Vlad would win his case.
  5. Nope, because I hate Vlad and love the idea that Jays reps shredded him in the hearing and won.
  6. If true I am about to become the biggest Shatkins fan on this board.
  7. LOL Kool Aid King Black is huffing that copium. He doesn't want to believe the offseason is over because it makes his Kool Aid harder to push.
  8. The team itself gave Orelvis more starts at 2B in AAA last season than SS+3B combined.
  9. If there's like no market for him I could see him fitting into what we have remaining under the 2nd threshold. Especially if 2.725M 4th stringer Espishit gets punted from this organization, they could have upwards of 9M remaining under said threshold. Only problem is, Rogers Sportsnet mouthpieces BNS and Zwelling said Jays had roughly 12M left to spend before they added Turner for 13M AAV. Seems more likely that either the offseason is done (outside of settling Vlad's arb case), or Jays make AAV in-AAV out moves from here.
  10. BTV wise closest I could come up with was Orelvis/Kirk+Manoah+Biggio/Kasevich
  11. You're not gonna want to hear this but BTV grades this as a slight win of roughly +3 in surplus value for the Brewers.
  12. Corbin Burnes to Baltimore
  13. 100% agree, this guy does not get close to enough blame given the amount of blame that he deserves for the organizations internal expectations not being met.
  14. My guess is Vlad Jr "stays behind"
  15. Lmfaoooooo
  16. IMO this signing makes an Espinal trade feel even more inevitable now. He's the 4th stringer for both positions the organization views him as still capable of playing (they lost faith in him as a SS last season) and makes 2.725M this year. 2B has Schneider/Biggio/Clement who has no options 3B has Biggio/IKF/Turner Even at SS they trust Clement there more than him, plus Bo+IKF There is like no point in Santiago Espinal's existence on this team lol, although if trading him wouldn't free up spending ability for the FO to add someone else they might just option him to hold him as depth.
  17. LOL you know what my opinion is. I'm the biggest Vlad hater on this board, take a guess at what my next move would be?
  18. If BNS and Zwelling are right the Jays are done. If I am right (way less likely than Rogers Sportsnet mouthpieces being right) they have roughly 5-6M left under the 2nd threshold.
  19. Except when Atkins makes trades, he's the one who gains BTV surplus value not the other team (almost every trade he makes in the +5 to 10 range at the time of the trade).
  20. Lmao Atkins gonna sleep like an baby tonight after "losing out" on Polanco. I'm not even going to check because it's so obvious Mariners just burned a bunch of BTV surplus value in that deal.
  21. Polanco to Seattle
