    But you could also say we just gave $36m to a 2023 0.2 win player (IKF) and a 2023 0.3 win player (Green), right? Just they have no path *at all* to a 5 win ceiling whereas Giolito needs a tick of velo back and maybe some slider tweak.

    He changed his swing and said he was actually swinging harder. He had nice numbers 1st half then imploded. I think we view him as a legit upside play not a bench guy

    I don't understand how Bellinger is being viewed. He just had like a Teoscar or Gallo season, not a 8 war season or something. He was terrible for 3 years prior. To me his true value is 3/75. He's a coin flip to be outperformed by Max Kepler IMO. If Atkins springs for this guy our team is mudded for years

    It's damage control. The other options are Matt Chapman for 9 years or trading Tiedemann for Evan Longoria

    I don't think Whit is the type or the age to make any changes. It's much safer to let him do what he wants. He has 15 years experience poking sliders off the plate
