  1. There's no chance that Zimmer does anything but s*** his pants if we actually make it to a playoff game in Yankee stadium. At least you know JBJ will catch the ball.
  2. JBJ at least has the potential for some fluke hot streak. Zimmer cannot even contact the baseball.
  3. Both those guys were nice buy lows from Atkins because they've always been somewhat effective. I wouldn't really say they were pitchers we created from nothing. Ray f***ed his delivery voluntarily for a year and we just told him to revert it.
  4. Ya it was s***. But you have to fix it. Otherwise, there's no evidence that simply taking it away will make him good. It's purely speculative at that point. They are tweaking his arm slot mid-season. I feel like that's a pretty drastic change. More drastic than letting him work through the cutter struggles. Almost all pitchers will be more effective with more pitches. I also didn't like when they eliminated Ryu's sinker. It's still a pitch that hitters have to scout even at 10% usage. Even if it's a -EV pitch. I don't understand what they were expecting Ryu's change to tunnel off of if there's no sinker in the repertoire anymore. Ryu's sinker and change occupy the exact same spot on the heat map. He doesn't throw his 4 seam there. So there's no tunnel.
  5. I don't understand how you sign a pitcher whose only good season came when his cutter was good, and then take away that cutter. You literally have no evidence of Kikuchi being good without a cutter. How do you give 3 years to that.
  6. DeGrom is currently showcasing an 80 slider with 80 command.
  7. Nothing about his profile screams back end bullpen. He's just a 4-6th SP. He has more value to us than he does for the Dodgers. The Dodgers just back fill him with someone else and bet on turning Frasso into an ace. It's Stripling/Williams redux.
  8. None of these stats matter. The only thing the Dodgers look at is Frasso's biomechanics. They don't give a f*** about his stats. They just see an object that might be capable of certain pitch types. I don't think Atkins is oblivious to this either so Alex De Jesus must be someone that makes up the difference in our mind. Mitch White has been absolutely red lined by the Dodgers development staff for like 10 years, this is what he is. Solid contributor most likely, no ace ceiling.
