  1. Yah I get that, but when does it normalize? We are a couple games away from the half way point here. Is it completely out of the realm of possibility that these abnormal RISP numbers continue for the entirety of the season, or at least long enough for it to sink the team. I just feel like were running out of time for these corrections within the numbers to happen lol.
  2. I think selling is definitely a way over reaction. We are within reach of a playoff spot so its not happening. Albeit its a playoff spot that has only existed for a couple years thats saving our ass, its still a playoff spot. However I dont think its an over reaction to say this team is trending backwards. When were suppose to be taking steps forward and getting closer to the goal its seems as if the team is trending in the opposite direction. 2 of our best players have had massive underperformances. We are clearly missing thump in the lineup and the improvement in defense doesn't seem to be making up the wins. In previous years when we had mediocre first halves the underlining numbers always showed we were better and bound to break out. Even those are trending in the wrong direction this season.
  3. lol the only thing more embarrassing then losing to Oakland at home is the amount of balls called strikes by the ump. Can we get robot umps already. Both f***ing terrible.
  4. Jeez this thread has really deteriorated into some garbage. Can we get back to Bluejays talk? How about these next 15 games? Giants are on a heater, but other than that. A's, Red Sox, White Sox, Tigers. If we take care of business and don't get swept by the Giants should be able to go 10-5 and be in a playoff spot. Is it unrealistic to think that this is just the player Vladdy is and he had to much hype? Maybe his minor league career and one great season were outliers. Heard a rumor that Manoah could be back as early as Canada Day. Any merit to this?
  5. Now starts the 13-5 run
  6. Nice job by the bench
  7. Needed a good start and Kikuchi actually did it. Now can the offense do anything
  8. Kikuchi is looking great...queue Schneider pulling him after 77 pitches lol
  9. They showed a graphic at the start of the game I think he was close to 10 clear of the next person this season and last combined.
  10. Vladdy, Kirk and Manoah should all be put into some kind of mandatory fitness program in the offseason. Its just crazy to me that your paying these professional athletes the amount of money you are and your letting them get away with with showing up this out of shape.
  11. lol soo were not touching this Perez guy are we
  12. If its me nothing, we dont have a farm system to make any big splashes unless your trading your last two big pieces Tiedman and Maritnez. If the ships going to sink let it sink and Atkins can be shown the door, goodbye. If I am Atkins I probably feel the heat and know if better results do not come to pass I am likely done soon so I will probably make a bunch of jerky trade deadline moves that reek of desperation and might improve the team marginally in the short term but will kill the teams future even further than it already has been.
  13. Yah were not out of it by any means. I think most people are pissed because the team seems to be on a downward trajectory. However these games could turn the whole season around or sink it. Hopefully we take full advantage.
  14. lmao. Watch us go 5-13 in these 18 games the softest part of our schedule and this becomes reality.
  15. Nobody expects or think Vladdy will have those numbers. But he is on pace for maybe 25 HR, and a .275 average with around 2 WAR. This is more or less the player he has been in the majors with the exception of 1 season. The sample size is not small anymore and no matter how you spin it thats average. Very very average.
  16. Has to be the low point of the season. Soft part of the schedule starts finally. The numbers people will tell you Marlins should be below .500 and the Jays should have a better record. Sure as f*** didn't look like it today.
  17. lol f***ing Schneider is playing this as if were still in it. The team didn't show up take it on the chin and move on. Have to hope we get more than 10 out of the next 17 before another gauntlet begins.
  18. lol he has an excuse and an "underlying number" for every single post saying the Jays suck. Underlying numbers dont mean s*** until the team actually makes something out of it.
  19. Slowly losing interest in this years team. The players look disinterested, Vladdy looks cooked. No depth at all. All I keep hearing about is the underlying numbers show were better and a second half surge is coming, but ill believe it when I see it. Right now it looks like a second half flop is on the horizon. 3 out of the Astros, Rangers, Angels, Yankees, Jays, O's are going to miss the playoffs. Pretty sure the Jays will be one.
  20. Well if there is any silver lining we made it through arguably a top 3 strength of schedule to begin the year above 500. Now we have Marlins A's Giants Red Sox White Sox Tigers 18 games we need to go on a big run. Atkins still blows and needs to be punted into the sun. But thanks to the extended playoffs this season is not a total write off yet
  21. Cant wait for Ross to be s*** canned and the restart to begin, this team is going nowhere but probably fighting for something that didn't even exist a couple years ago a 3rd wildcard spot. And even if we get it which isn't likely as the Yanks will get healthy and be better, the O's, Rangers and Astros aren't going anywhere, also the Angels now have a better record than us. We would get bounced first round anyway.
  22. He is a below average first basemen and has been for his whole big league career besides one year
  23. Lol Jays finally break out for more than 3 runs and they blow a 6 run lead. Vladdys worst game of the year he looks like our weak link
  24. Vladdy has had 3 and a half average seasons compared to 1 stellar season. The longer this goes on, and the more his weight becomes an issue, the more obvious it becomes that this is just who he is. You can show me all the underlying numbers you want that show what he could or should be, they dont mean s*** until he actually "figures it out". At this point I would offer him a low value contract, if he denies (which he likely would), let him go to FA. By 2026 were probably rebuilding with a new GM anyway lol
  25. The last 23 games going back to the 20 run game against the Rays. 78 runs. 3.3 Runs per game.
