I would hardly call the O's a great, great organization. Were they not the most unsuccessful team in the league for 5 seasons to acquire all their talent? Don't all O's fans hate their owners cause they never pay their homegrown talent. Id be willing to bet in 5 years the O's will be back in the basement cause they didn't want to pay all the guys currently leading the team. However that doesn't take away the fact that it sure seems like Atkins has sold us a mirage, making us all think this was a world series contending team. I think we got worse with the Teo and Varsho trade. We have the same issues as last year. Crap bullpen and mediocre starting pitching. Good offense that lacks consistency. The whole focus on improving the defense is not showing either. Farm system has no reinforcements in sight outside of Tiedmenn. I think we are a mediocre run organization, better run than the O's for sure. Get rid of Atkins and maybe the Bo/Vladdy era can be salvaged and this might become a "good" run organization. Maybe im just over reacting and we will get it together. But it sure looks like to me that this team is not nearly as good as most of us thought.

I think there is a mixture of I guess for lack of a better word "trolls" who do as you say say, only show up to bitch when things are bad, and casuals who are trying to dip their toes in, maybe have a mixture of questions, positive posts and a little negativity as well. I think the casuals are getting lumped in with the trolls, probably not on purpose by "most" forum members.

Lol so let me get this straight. You would rather the Jays be trash so that the casual fans lose interest and you along with the other 14 or 15 regulars can have the forum all to yourselves again over the Jays being good? I think I have to agree with the sentiment of a post I seen in another thread (cant remember who), but at this point why is this forum not just private for the 15-20 regulars who are here everyday and seem to not want anyone else involved.

I have a serious question coming from someone who is more of a casual baseball fan, only watches Bluejays, but do catch most of the games. I know there is ups an downs in a baseball season even for the best teams. But do the legit playoff and world series contenders have periods of being this bad for this long?

Going from the Bluejays ballpark that is close to full all the time to Tropicana thats half empty is an embarrassment to the league. Best team in the MLB. Nobody at the games.

Springer got some hits and Manoah looks a lot better is a couple positives to take away. Not a fan of the the chirping when your sucking overall for the season though. If he is top 5 in Cy Young chirp whoever the f*** you want lol. Losses like that draining though jesus

Wow this team is getting embarrassed against our division rivals. Just not on the same level it seems. Manoah is one of the worst starting pitchers in the AL right now and he is still talking s*** to the other team. Good start today though nice to see. Our manager Schneider doesn't even know the rules about mound visits. Cant hit worth s*** with RISP. Bullpen cant hold together 3 or 4 innings for the life of them. Top 5 prospect for Varsho trade currently looks like we got absolutely fleeced, I dont care how much better of a corner outfielder he is than Teo and LGJ Orioles, Rays and Yanks all will be good for awhile and this seems like our window before it all crashes down and we are outclassed. I know its a long season and this is a big down in a series of ups and downs, but it seems like we are the 4th best team in AL East.

Ive been a long time reader cause there really is some very insightful baseball talk here. I have not posted much at all, just a bit here and there over the years. My history of posting is a mixed bag of positive and negative. I admittedly am more of a casual fan, I dont know the intricate numbers like some. I watch almost all the Bluejays games. I think last year I said that our bullpen is s*** or something like that and Spanky jumped down my throat, throwing personal insults, we got into a war of words a couple different times. I think he has me blocked now, but not sure. More recently I was s***ing on Biggio deservedly cause he f***ing sucks, and some guy told me to go suck a dick little bitch. haha. The thing I find incredibly petty about it is when people who are not part of the regulars fraternity come and start saying things they dont like it becomes like a competition as to who can dish out the most personal attacks. So I rarely post anymore.

Lol this place really is hilarious. Theres like the 10-15 regulars who treat this like a fraternity or something constantly battling off the newcomers. Especially when they want to come and vent it becomes like an internet battle royale. All the regs can vent and be negative but everyone else its like you have to prove yourself or something to be part of this forum.

Its looks bad right now. Moreno playing better than both our catchers and Guriel playing better than Varsho. Its a real long season I dont expect it to continue. If Moreno becomes a top 5 catcher in the league there will be some real sad Bluejays fans though.

Cmon show some life for f*** sakes. Need this comeback or else were banking on Manoah for a series win which is not a place you want to be
