    Whatever this is a brain aneurysm like move that is surely going to backfire. It doesnt really matter though as this team has shown all season we struggle mightily with good pitching. I had a faint glint of hope the boys would get hot but it looks like the exact same team. Just useless offense against elite pitching. Thats all we would face all playoffs. No chance. My opinion at least..

    Even with a man gifted into scoring position and the red sox scraping the bottom of whats a weak bullpen to begin with and we still cant score s***. This team is the worst watch this season.

    getting no hit by very mediocre old Chris Sale and Kirk being out by a mile on what would be a standup double for 90 per cent of the rest of the league is the Jays season in a nutshell

    What a horrendous twist of fate. The calling card of the Bluejays the last few years has been the explosive offense. So much firepower but not enough pitching to get over the hump. Finally this year we have the best pitching staff we have seen in a decade, and the offense has struggled all season long. All we needed to happen to go on a run was the offense to catch up just a little bit. Instead at the most important part of the season the offense doesn't catch up, it hits a season low, and not only that, the pitching staff is starting to implode now as well. Such a Toronto thing, choking in the biggest moments. How did the Raptors avoid it?? Im a fan of a lot of the things Ross has done. I think he needs to be shown the door now though. The Varsho trade, breaking up the Barrio, hiring Montoyo then Schneider, and his heavy analytical approach is enough to out weigh the good he has done. We need a fresh start.

    Yah but the good teams over a 3 game series "most" of the time come out looking like they have seperated themselves from the inferior team . There did not look to me like there was much seperation at all over 9 games against the 3 worst teams in the league. Yes we won 7 of those but it was far from convincing. Then to get blown out against solid competition immediately following is not a great look, all im saying.

    Point is we should not be playing those types of games against those types of teams at this point of the season. We looked very much near the same level as them during those series, now a much better team like Texas comes in and blows us out. Not a good look going into the final 3 weeks.

    Yah I dont know. We barely went 10-5 against the absolute worst teams in the league. Some games were close a couple different bounces and it could have easily been 8-7. This team is so streaky and unable to put it all together for long stretches, it would be completely on brand to go 9-9 in the last 18 games and miss the playoffs by one or two games.

    This is what happens when you have an analytics clown like Atkins who wants a manager to shut the f*** up and do what he is told. Then you give a guy the full time job after just a 50 game sample size because you think he is your yes man, turns out he is a big dufus who cant even make the most simple baseball managing decisions.
