  1. I have to say Schneider, and the two players we went with in the big offseason trade (Kirk and Varsho), over some other guys have been immensely underwhelming so far.
  2. I think the FO needed to see if he was going to bounce back before Ryu comes back and before the deadline. Its going to dictate what they do. Judging by the outing yesterday I would have to assume that he will be sent back down. We will acquire a starter at the deadline, (not Stroman, farm not strong enough). And either it will be a 6 man rotation or Ryu or Kikuchi is bullpen bound. I have to agree though the situation was handled quite poorly. Before he got sent down the first time how many games did we punt into the sun when it seemed everyone on earth knew what the results were going to be except the team.
  3. You ship KK out because we have a full time CF that we are already committed to long term who is wasting away in LF and not making any impact at the plate. We can get a slugging corner outfielder in his place.
  4. Im a proponent of sending Manoah down for the rest of the year. Ryu will be back soon and maybe we can get a starter at the deadline. KK should be traded and Varsho should be moved to everyday CF so his A+ defense actually plays and makes up for his pool noodle bat. A slugging corner outfielder should be added to take the LF position.
  5. lol Varsho so sad
  6. I never said were not good enough. I fully believe this team hasn't even clicked on all cylinders yet. We could catch TB at this point which seemed completely unrealistic a month ago. Im just saying that making the playoffs is not at all going to be an easy task given the teams involved. I also didn't know "The playoffs will be easy to make" was a meme, I thought he was serious lol.
  7. I dont think so. The O's are only a game back of TB and show absolutely no sign of regressing. Believe it or not they are for real. The Yanks are completely devastated by injuries. They will buy at the deadline as well and probably get a big piece or two. They are no doubt going to get better. The Astros are also injury riddled and are still probably a top 3 team in the league. The Jays have been had near perfect health all season and are just starting to make up a few games on these injured teams. When they get healthy, and get their trade deadline pieces. The wildcard race will likely come down to the last few games of the season.
  8. I highly doubt the Jays have even close to the type of package its going to require to get Stroman. It aint happenin lol.
  9. nice way to come back from the break!
  10. Nice our closer has been injured in a game that means absolutely nothing during a playoff push lool.
  11. So it doesn't change the fact that the Jays dont have the farm system to acquire any huge name players. The teams dealing those huge names are going to deal with the teams that can offer the biggest and best packages.
  12. Everyone in the league wants both those players. Problem is the Jays farm system is not in the same galaxy as some other teams and wouldn't be able to match offers. If the Cards were selling those players.
  13. If only this would translate to the real games
  14. I have to agree that Varshos defense in LF is not making up for his pool noodle bat. For his A+ defense to play he needs to be an everyday CFer. Making KK fully dispensable. Were commited to Varsho full time not KK. Get something for him now while his value is up.
  15. Offensive and defensive lineman are insane athletes for their size. In crazy good shape. Nfl training camp is a grueling test of endurance and the physicals you have to pass are intense. Absolutely no comparison to Kirks fat ass.
  16. Baseball the only sport where pro athletes are allowed to be obese with no consequences
  17. Well that was a miracle. Cubs up the Yanks as well, could go into the break a full game up on them. Still a massive underperformance overall for the first 90 games. FFS the Yanks are missing Judge and the Astros are missing Alvarez. Ah well, heres to going on a second half heater and salvaging this season. Im slightly optimistic.
  18. Even if we somehow win this game. Bluejays fully healthy, 90 games in still only as good as Yanks and Astros riddled with injuries lol. Atkins must go haha im done bitching now
  19. Its a miracle this team is above .500, but still barely good enough to stay in contention for a 3rd wildcard spot with the Astros and Yanks who are missing their best players. Atkins needs to go for the Varsho trade and the failure to have any depth in the farm, specifically pitching. Never mind everything else.
  20. I cant imagine a worse way to go into the all star break lol. No hit and then 2 hit performances against the Tigers. Golden opportunity to grab a couple games on the injury riddled Yanks and Astros but nope. Jays fully healthy lineup is just an inconsistent train wreck with good defenders. Im honestly amazed were above .500 it feels so much worse. 4 innings to do something but its not looking promising lol.
  21. 10-8 in the 18 game stretch that was by far the easiest part of our schedule to date is not good enough. Yankees and Astros both missing their best players who are some of the top 10 players in the league and we barely keep pace. 11-7 sounds much better we need this game if the f***ing offense can show some life.
  22. Blew our load in game 1. Its impossible for this team to string together good offensive performances.
  23. Too bad we can't play the White Sox every game hey
  24. The infatuation with Kirk I never understood. He had a relatively small sample size of good hitting and everyone automatically presumed thats who he is going to be. I think its somewhere in between the crap he is now and the good hitter he was last season. His body type and seemingly no intent to get in shape screams regression as well. Just like Vladdy and Manoah. Fat boys rarely stay great players for long periods of time in the MLB. There is the rare exception but more often than not they flame out. Thats the exact reason I was pissed when we traded super athletic Moreno in favor of fat boy Kirk. He has to get in shape period.
