  1. I wonder if they will consider pushing him up soon. That would put him squarely on a timeline to be in the majors next year.
  2. I don’t believe but we’ll see. Espinal has had to deal with some outrageous umping seemingly aimed squarely at him as well. Also, I just flat believe in his swing more against more types of pitching. Espinal could use a day off though.
  3. This front office can’t put a good bullpen together. It’s a massive f***ing weakness.
  4. I absolutely don’t believe in biggio but I’ll be very happy to be proven wrong.
  5. The only time I’ve ever wanted to listen to Arash.
  6. We should know by tomorrow, right?
  7. I saw somewhere that Gage changed his throwing motion after watching Giolito pitch. Shouldn’t teams be doing more of just trying random stuff with marginal guys? Seems to often come from the player themself and not the club.
  8. Gage must be good enough that they want to save him for tomorrow. Beasley not so much lol.
  9. It’s 4 am in Ireland but I’m going to get my Mammy on the case anyway.
  10. Can everyone light a holy candle or something, because I’m going to be pretty sad if a red hot Kirk gets injured on that play.
  11. Does any other team have starters regularly go into the 7th? My feeling was that that is pretty rare.
  12. Samad Taylor getting hot. 3 homers and a double in last 3 games.
  13. Yea, maybe if one of them gets injured. It still sticks in my craw that this is even necessary. It’s been 6 years and we spend a lot in free agency, we spent a lot to get berrios, and we still need to deal for starting pitching of this caliber? It’s a f***ing joke. We aren’t Houston or Tampa that’s for sure. Good front office, not great.
  14. You can’t be a good team for a long time and do berrios type deals every year. Manoah, gausman and berrios need to be good enough on their own. Like, Jesus Christ, do we have to deal 2 top 100 prospects per year because we can’t develop pitching. We aren’t even getting true aces for that price.
  15. Hunter brown is the guy I’d want. Probably too wild to start right now but could develop into that. Would help in the pen immediately.
  16. Random thought but I would honestly be pretty devastated if they trade kirk. I don’t care if his body falls apart, please don’t trade the little fat guy that can hit. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed watching a baseball player as much as him.
  17. I kind of think judge ends up on the Mets but yea he isn’t being traded in a million years.
  18. Rays are decimated right now. If they could collapse over the next few weeks, that would be helpful. I think their pitching is too good though.
  19. True. Or just groove some pitches to Anderson and try to get lucky instead of walking him. That might have worked. Walking him and grooving everyone else wasn’t ideal.
  20. Yea bad call but not crazy. Bo needs to not auto swing at anything at the bottom of the zone when he’s trying to hit something in the air.
  21. Maybe, but that’s literally the ideal spot for biggio. Right handed pitcher who doesn’t throw hard and is a bit wild.
  22. That’s factored into run expectancy.
  23. I’ve always seen our window as at least 5 years including this one and last year. I think trading good prospects for relief help has the chance of reducing that window by a year at least. It’s just a bad use of resources and reduces what you can do in future years. I’d trade Jansen. We need the others now. If they are 4 games back at the deadline, you have to go for it. 7-10 games back, trade guys without much control for future assets.
  24. Trade good prospects soon for pen arms. Absolutely trade Jansen to any contender for relievers. Accept that our window will be shorter because our front office isn’t super good at developing pitching. Maybe they’ve turned it around in the low minors and the last few drafts but the window is open right now. Spend the resources and accept the shorter window.
