  1. Huh, what the f*** are you talking about? The offense has been pretty red hot recently.
  2. You’d think so but I can’t think of a ton of examples where it did.
  3. This might be a narrative thing and totally unrelated but isn’t what happened with Torres kind of what happening with Bo? He’s out of his depth at short. He’s under constant pressure to perform at a position where he isn’t any good. That carried over to his hitting. The Yankees went and got a real short and let Torres play second and he explodes. Might be a complete coincidence… I don’t know.
  4. Bo will turn it around at the plate. I wouldn’t go near a long term contract with him. That approach doesn’t seem like it will age well, and there’s like a 30% chance he sticks at short.
  5. He’s one of the worst short stops in the majors. Im sick of watching one of the worst short stops in the majors play short stop. Sure, benching him is dumb. Maybe play him in a position he can play.
  6. I’ve noticed that Moreno has been auto taking a lot of first pitches. Might be a good idea to swing at some of those.
  7. He had a game against us last year where he was really good.
  8. He’s -4 in outs above average and last in the league in UZR, and he just left a pitcher who cannot command the ball out to dry. He seems to make a lot of bad throws. Maybe don’t bench him. Just move him to second base when we have pitchers on the mound when we require good fielding behind them. I don’t totally understand the imperative to develop him at short at the expense of everything else. It can’t help his hitting to always be playing just beyond his capability in the field. It would be very stressful. Let him play an easier position most games and concentrate on hitting .
  9. There we go Bo. The one f***ing pitcher that you can’t make mistakes behind and you throw one several feet short to first. It should be unacceptable. This games over and he’s scuffling anyway. Bench his ass to set an example.
  10. Holy f***, you have a pitcher struggling like this and you half ass that throw. You just completely f***ed your pitcher. The shortstop can’t do that. Watch Kikuchi completely melt down now.
  11. One of the fantasy podcasts I listen to, one of the hosts is a big believer in body language … which honestly I usually think is bs, but he is a really good player and I absolutely believe he doesn’t believe in Kikuchi even when he was good. He looks so uncertain and scared.
  12. I think that ump just went over and added spidertack to his hands for public safety.
  13. Take him out, what’s the point of this. Keeping him in is just punting this game right now.
  14. If Kikuchi could not blow up in the very first inning, that would be nice.
  15. The rays are good but they seem to get a ton of late game luck. Bednar walked some guys who are massively scuffling to get to the one hot hitter on the rays there. The rays are super injured but they will win a ton of one run games like this somehow.
  16. Bednar absolutely melting down vs the rays. Full meltdown. Gave up walkoff to paredes. Very blue jays reliever type outing. Walked two guys including one guy who is MAJORLY scuffling until he gets to the guy who is hitting and then he can groove strikes. f***ing rays always get this kind of luck. Why don’t we run into elite relievers that melt down against us?
  17. Rays losing by one to pirates going into the 9th. Honestly, I’d swap a pirates win for an astros loss. I don’t care about how much the Yankees win the division by. Brujan is really scuffling. Pretty serious prospect too. Not sure if they are concerned about it or not.
  18. What happened to those Questrade crypto ads lol? The ones telling me that I’m a dumbass because crypto is just like when they invented the wheel. That ad made me so angry lol.
  19. I don’t know if anyone listens to the Rates and Barrels podcast (if you play fantasy you should) but they talked about Berrios. It was interesting even though they could draw no firm conclusion. Basically, the things that jump out are that his four seam fastball stuff plus number jumps kind of wildly start to start from above average to well below, and that his release point on that pitch is down 2 inches. The latter is sometimes a sign of someone carrying a niggle.
  20. I meant the dodgers nationals turner/scherzer deal. Sorry, I wasn’t clear.
  21. Unless, it’s highway robbery like the LA Washington deal last year, I’d lose some trust. Assuming we still have high playoff odds.
  22. I don’t see how they could justify a montas/Castillo level starter either. If we have good playoff odds, you really only need three starters once you are in .
  23. I was thinking about the bullpen and pitching this morning, and I just can’t see how this front office does big trades early or even at the deadline ASSUMING our playoff odds are similar to what they are now. Our bullpen sucks but our bullpen sucked worse last year, and we had worse playoff odds. In that situation we put minimum prospects into improving the pen. We pulled off a big trade for berrios, but honestly we needed that type of acquisition just to have a chance to make the playoffs. With our kind of odds this year, that kind of deal would be irresponsible from a team building POV. So, unless a lot goes wrong between here and the deadline, I don’t see it. Possibly if they have a mandate to make the playoffs or else but it would be a pretty weird move.
  24. We’ll see I guess. I personally would trade biggio first chance I get when his line is good.
