Kikuchi is almost an auto loss right now. I don’t see how it could be worse and he needs to figure stuff out.

You’d lose Thornton relief but honestly you’d have more chance every 5th start.

I didn’t know they have options. Someone the other day made a good point that an IL stunt allows them to send him to florida to ‘rehab’ and then do rehab assignment. That would be better than an option but they should explore either way.

Send Kikuchi down on a phantom IL and piggyback Lawrence after 3 innings of Thornton?
