    And are the Yankees really that scary? After Soto and Judge their offense isn't daunting, and they gave up some starting pitching to get Soto in the first place. If Rodon is injured again their rotation is hot ass after Cole. Plus, the Red Sox haven't done f*** all this off season to improve have they? Rays lost Glasnow and Franco..., I mean I'm sure they'll be good for 90 wins somehow, but probably not as good as last season.

    Yeah and if I told you this time last year that Schneider was going to come up mid season and put up 2.0 fWAR in 141 PA's you'd have probably told me I was a goddamn lunatic. Might be a huge pile of crap, might find something decent, or might just get a flash in the pan strong enough to tide the team over for a season which is probably better than doing something desperate like giving Chapman $150 million.

    I'd love for the Jays to trade for significant upgrades at 2B, 3B or OF, but there is some merit to wait and see what happens with the rather sizable group depth players/prospects they've accumulated, especially now that they have KK and IKF in the fold. Biggio, Espinal, Schneider, Clement, Barger, Orelvis, Lantigua, Lopez, Palmegiani, Horwitz, Morris and Jiminez. That's quite an extensive list to draw from. They may all end up being crap, but worth look, and if any of them pop IKF/KK won't be blocking them but will still serve as solid bench players and late inning defensive replacements. I would still love to see a big powerful DH bat signed though.

    Whether he's an idiot of a predator doesn't matter much, he's still (allegedly) a guy who has sex with children. If you're going to have sex with another human being you need to do your due diligence to find out whether or not they are the appropriate age.

    Yep, it's a good team, yes they failed last year but it's a good team. Maybe it's better they run it back again as opposed to making desperate moves that may hurt way more in the long run. The run suppression should still be there with this team, maybe the offense will be there this time too.

    Isaac Parades has 4 years control left, had 4.3 fWAR last year, projects for 3.6 fWAR this year. Pretty close to what they are talking about, and happens to play 3B for the cheap ass Rays lol They'd take Tiedemann and turn him into a legit ace for sure

    Lotta dudes who have played some 3B down in AAA that have swung big bats in the minors at times. Many of them already on the 40 man too. Unless something better materializes it seems the jays are going to try a bunch of them out and hope one catches lightning in a bottle while having IKF around as a stud defensive replacement and fail safe. Barger (40 man) Clement (40 man) Orelvis (40 man) Lantigua Palmegiani There is also Jiminez on the 40 man listed as a SS/2B

    Sure would be nice if a dark horse came out of the wood work and lit things up. Palmegiani or Roden for example.

    Honestly, I wish the jays were able to bring in sketchy character guys but you know they won't. There will probably end up being tons of surplus value if they signed Bauer and Aroldis to one year deals.

    They're probably expecting a bounce back from Vlad more than any other, which is the big one. He could be a game changer if he gets back to MVP caliber bat stats.

    Machado with the Padres eating some of his contract would be absolutely fantastic. IKF can man 3B until he's ready to go back there.

    Why? Jays top 4 SP are all extremely durable and coming off strong seasons. Jays #5 was in Cy Young contention in 2022, Jays #6 finished last year on a absolute heater in AAA mowing MFers down, and their #7 might be the top SP prospect in all of MiLB Plus their bullpen is fully intact from last season except for Hicks, and it has tons of depth at AAA I mean, yeah they can always add another arm or two, but it certainly isn't a dire need at this point.

    Yeah I wouldn't expect a 140-150 wRC+ from Springer anymore but hopefully he can get it back up to 115-125 wRC+
