  1. Welp, hopefully Yariel can show something in MLB. Looked like they maybe unlocked something with Parsons - nope, and gone Looked like they maybe unlocked something with White - so far no good Francis hasn't had results yet but he did face to pretty strong offenses, jury isn't out yet Tiedemann looking shaky in AAA so far The SP depth is drying up quickly Like I said, it'd be ice to lock up Kooch, but I didn't know he was with Boras. f*** I hate Boras.
  2. I wonder if the Jays should look to extend Kikuchi?
  3. Wet blanket what Jim? I literally said he was starting, posted his line through 2 IP (which was good) and listed his pitches and the speed of those pitches according to the game tracker. There was not one single optimistic thing said about the guy going forward, so why you feel you had to "wet blanket" it, I have no f***ing clue
  4. Danny Jansen just hit a grand slam in the Bisons game. He's 2 for 3 in the game now. Exit Velocity 108.2mph Distance 405ft Launch Angle 23deg
  5. Watts-Brown looks to have a 93-94mph four seam, 85-86mph curve and slider. Lots of weak contact and swing and miss.
  6. Last years 3rd rounder (89th overall pick) Juaron Donovan Watts-Brown is making his pro debut in Dunedin right now. Off to a good start so far with 2 IP, 1 BB, 0 hits and 3 Ks
  7. Too bad there always has to be a leak in the boat somewhere. Mayza was so fricken awesome last year, I didn't think he'd be the reliever to implode this year, although you knew someone would.
  8. Yeah, the Jays have a lot of reliever depth and lots of good prospect ones who miss bats but also miss the strike zone. Essentially swapping one of the older ones in Zulu for international money is fine by me
  9. Zulueta so far: 3.1 IP 13.5 K/9 5.4 BB/9 8.1 ERA 4.27 xFIP 2.62 FIP
  10. Cooke is closing Buffalo now it looks like, two saves already.
  11. Nice to see Bassitt pitch a gem. This rotation is so damn solid once they settle in. Hopefully they stay healthy, and it'll be nice for Francis to get a start against a team that doesn't have a juggernaut offense in the Rockies series. Sorry for the positivity guys. Fire Atkins. IKF suxxxxx
  12. The kid the Jays acquired in the Espinal trade started tonight for Vancouver. McElvain
  13. Interesting that the Jays started 21 year old OF Gabriel Martinez at AA this year despite him having a rough year at A+ in 2023. It's early but he's off to a decent start.
  14. Man, if Jimmy Burnette can learn command he's going to be a hitters nightmare. K's for days with this guy. Last year he had 17.12 K/9 in AA (But...5.3 BB/9), was promoted to AAA and still had high K numbers of 11.62 K/9 but he was damn near walking one batter per inning. Needless to say he got his ass handed to him. This year they've started him AA again and he's pitched two inning so far and struck out 5 batters lmao (0 walks, 0 hits, 0 runs) It sure seems like the Jays have an absolute crap ton of interesting arms in the minors and tons of guys who can rack up K's but just have some other warts to work on, like control.
  15. Mayza also broke when he was just breaking in with the Jays a few years ago
  16. What's with this Fluharty dude? Following the game tracker today his fastball is only 88mph and a sweeper around 80mph He must be one deceptive mofo or something because he's just mowing batters down. Guys got 103 K's in 78 MiLB innings for his career.
  17. Orelvis 3 for 5 with 3 runs scored Barger 2 for 3 with 2 walks and a home run Fun day in the Jays MiLB
  18. Yeah I remember reading that encouraging news too. Good news is he settled down after the homer. He went three up three down after that, with two grounders and a strike out. He only threw 10 pitches in the inning, nine of them strikes. I wish I could report his velo but this game isn't supplying that data
  19. Padinho sighting! Hahaha his first pitch, a meatball down the middle, is drilled over the fence
  20. Kasevich is 4 for 5 today with 4 ribeyes Anyone know, does his glove play at SS?
  21. Dunedin came back to win the Manoah blow up game 8-7. He left they were down 7-1 Swanson pitched a clean inning of rehab, 2 Ks And Maroudis picked the dubya with 4 beautiful innings, 0 hits, 0 walks, 0 runs and 5 Ks (38 pitches, 28 strikes) Looking at the ticker, he was sitting 95mph with FB, 85mph slider, 80mph curve So some good news
  22. Yariel Rodriguez line: 2.1 IP 47 pitches 26 strikes 1 hit 2 walks 4 Ks 0 runs I'm assuming he got lifted due to pitch count? Hoping anyways Fluharty also pitched in this game and had 2 IP with 1 walk, 4 Ks, 0 hits, 0 runs. Looks like a stud lefty possibly
  23. I look at that line up and think "ok, we're gonna get pummeled" So, win incoming?
  24. Silver linings haha Manoah pulled, final line: 1.2 IP 5 hits 7 earned runs 4 walks 1 hit batter 2 Ks 1 home run 37.8 ERA 58 pitches, 26 strikes
