  1. What are you ranting about the bullpen for? You are talking like the bullpen has sunk the Jays season, it's been just fine overall.
  2. In perfect Jays land Varland starts closing and Hoffman loses his mental block without that pressure, Rodriguez and Little continue to excel and build confidence with their new repertoires in AAA before coming back to the show and melting the faces of MLB hitters too....oh, and Yimi gets and stays healthy. Bieber comes back and slings like a the CY candidate he is, Yesavage brings his weird arm angle and carries on like it's the 2025 post season. Nobody ever scores a run against the Jays again in 2026. I dunno, is that too much to hope for? Too many things to have go right all at once? Seriously though, there is a chance some of these things happen and the Jays go on a serious summer/fall run again.
  3. If Hoffman and Little could get past their mental blocks and Yimi could stay healthy, the Jays bullpen would be absolutely deadly.
  4. And with a couple SPs close to coming back he's going to have to go back to the pen more than likely, which won't make him any happier I would imagine. If they hadn't brought in Corbin I'd say make him tough it out, because we could certainly use another solid pen/bulk arm option, but the whining must be getting tiresome.
  5. I'd say Lauer's days as a Jay are nearing the end. Not pitching very good and becoming a malcontent in a very tight knit locker room it seems.
  6. I'm liking this thread. Tantalizing.
  7. How has Maroudis velocity been? If I recall correctly it was down a few ticks when he first returned from TJS
  8. Sure would be nice to see some signs of life from Kasevich and Schreck.
  9. If his defense will play at SS and he swings a power bat that'll work just fine.
  10. They want Schneider to act the same way they do, like a whiny ***** fan on a message board.
  11. This is a pet peeve of mine. What the f*** do you mean "excuses"? Explain please.
  12. So, who's going to leave the game with an injury today?
  13. 8 legit MLB starters signed and 11 games into the season we've already had a bullpen day and now starting 36 year old Patrick Corbin for game 12.
  14. How awesome is it that three of those guys are still currently in our rotation?
  15. Yeah, Schneider said today "I feel like our whole team is sick" Explains a lot so far.
  16. Apparently Lauer has a real bad flu bug. Maybe going around the room and part of the reason for the sluggish stretch here? Hope so anyways
  17. On May 31st last season the Jays were 30-28 with an 11-16 road record.
  18. Well, to be fair it has only been 5 games.
  19. Any chance Betts is cooked? Man I hope so, love the player but hate the team.
  20. Jays offense took a couple months to get rolling last year too, and then they were pretty much the top offense in baseball for the rest of the season.
  21. Not to get ahead a year, but next years rotation will probably look a lot like this years rotation, to be honest. I'm sure the Jays will go big game hunting for Skubal, but if that falls through most of the Jays upcoming FA SP's just love the Jays and probably won't be hard to re-sign. Gausman obviously, Bieber has raved about the Jays org, and Scherzer if he's still good and doesn't retire also loves the Jays. Lauer might be the only one who would run for the hills, due to his arb experience. Either way though, Cease, Yesavage, Ponce and Berrios isn't too bad of a starting point for building a rotation anyways. That's if there is any MLB next season. :(
  22. 5 of 6 starts have been quality starts so far, and the only one that wasn't was because Ponce blew up his leg in the 3rd inning of what was shaping up to be yet another quality start. All that with Bieber, Yesavage and Berrios on the IL.
  23. If this is directed at me, I merely read the last page and that was all it took for my chicken little alarm to go off the charts. I stay out of game threads because too many people can't control their emotions at all, and post the stupidest s*** while the game is happening.
