  1. Hats off for doing the right thing despite it making an already f***ing retarded trade look even worse. Hopefully Atkins doesn't do something that stupid again. Just gave away some of the Jays catching depth.
  2. It is time to f***ing DFA Thornton. The guy is f***ing garbage. Anyways, three W's in a row! And Vlad looks to be awakening again. Let's put up a 12 game win streak just to make it interesting.
  3. 6 up 6 down on 18 pitches. Not against Scherzer, or Cole, or DeGrom....but against yet another useless shitbag pitcher. This team is f***ing unbearable to watch hit right now.
  4. This is a big week for the Jays playoff hopes. We're playing the Orioles for 3 games and then the A's Meanwhile, Boston plays 7 of their next 10 against the Rays. Also, the Mariners play 6 of 9 against Houston, although they also play 6 of 12 vs Arizona, so.... Anyway, this would be a great time for the bats to break out and fuel a 8-10 game win streak.
  5. Bryan Baker also. He was reportedly steady 97-99mph and touching 100-101mph when the Jays traded for him 3 years ago. Still learning to control it though, a touch too many walks but getting better.
  6. Wins are awesome but holy f*** can someone get a hit with RISP already? Teo is completely ice cold right now. Wow.
  7. Martinez hopefully heating up. Went 3 for 5 last night with a double and 2 for 4 so far tonight with another double. 4 game hit streak / 7 for 17 with 1 HR, 2 2B, 1 BB
  8. Merryweather and Pearson both pitched for the Bisons tonight. Merryweather - 0.2 IP / 2 hits / 1 earned run / 1 walk / 2 Ks // Can't be good that they yanked after 2 outs I don't think, probably tweaked something knowing him. s***** outing anyways though just looking at the box score. Maybe some bloops and/or a squeezing ump? I dunno Pearson - 1.0 IP / 2 hits / 1 earned run / 0 walks 2 Ks Dolis also pitched and took the L, giving up 1 walk, 1 run, 1 hit and 1 K The bullpen sucks ass down there too. With that line up of relievers you'd think it'd be endless 0's going up
  9. Hopefully Berrios has his s*** together tomorrow. Jays gave up two of their top prospects for him, it'd be nice if he'd quit being useless.
  10. This team is so f***ing pathetic right now I can't even stand it.
  11. Where are the f***ing bats? Not a good sign seeing this whole offense go ice cold at the most important time in the season.
  12. Bunch of useless f***s
  13. 12 at bats for f*** sakes
  14. Already Smitty, let's get a big hit here.
  15. 1st and 2nd 0 outs Runner in scoring position though, so..... That's usually when things go south lately lol
  16. Of course, but I think after the update yesterday many were hoping Springer would be back in the Detroit series. Seems less likely now, they could have easily rolled with Teo, Grichuk, Dickerson and Gurriel for a just a couple games.
  17. Gurriel Teo Grichuk Dickerson Dyson Springer Six outfielders? Springer must have tweaked his knee or something.
  18. Not sure about starters but Andrew Miller will be a free agent and has had a rough year. He's 36 now, but was a beast for years. I wouldn't mind if the Jays tried to salvage him for a season. Just don't sign him and then bank on him being a key cog for the bullpen. If he comes in and regains his form it would just be a bonus.
  19. Van Eyk came out after two innings tonight. No walks, no hits, no runs and 3 K's too, so that can't be good I don't think.
  20. Maybe it's more of a mental grind than a physical one for these young inexperienced players?
  21. Jays need to go 24-12 to get 90 wins For Boston to end up with 89 wins they need to go 17-17 (soon to be 16-17 as they are kicking the s*** out of the Twins) For Oakland to end up with 89 wins they need to go 19-16 For Seattle to end up with 89 wins they need to go 20-15
  22. Fair enough, but I don't think there is a legit "ace" type SP on the market in free agency. Not a guy like Bieber anyways. But yeah, definitely over thinking it I guess. I'm just hoping the Jays go hard after Correa, but difficult to get a premier SS to sign long term with the Jays when Bo is already taking that spot.
  23. Super hypothetical here for the off-season, but if the Jays were able to land a stud like Correa in free agency, do you possibly look to flip Bo for a true ace? For example, how cheap is Cleveland? Any way they'd move Bieber? They are a bloody pitching factory anyways. If yes, do you have to add to Bo to get Bieber? How much do you add to get both Bieber and J.Ram? Not that I want a shake up of the young core, but replacing a 23 year old Bo with a 26 year old Correa and then using Bo to land an actual ace starting pitcher wouldn't be the worst thing in the world would it?
  24. 2 more seasons, but I wouldn't say "stuck" is very accurate. He's not an ace anymore but he's still a solid starting pitcher overall. Still second in WAR on the Jays staff, 1st in wins, 2nd in ERA (3rd if you count Manoah but thats a SSS). If you're trying to dump him you better have a pretty f***ing good replacement lined up, or at the very least Ray should be locked up first.
  25. Boy, Kimbrel would look good in a Jays uniform, under contract for next season too. But no, we get Brad f***ing Hand instead. White Sox have an unreal bullpen, and at the deadline they add Kimbrel and Tepera. Jays have a f***ing s*** bullpen and add Hand and Soria.
