  1. Gray just went to the Rangers
  2. I have no idea what the Jays will do next. They've got money to spend though, and another legit starter would be nice. For all I know they are chasing a position player now though.
  3. f***ing sweet signing. Hopefully they are still hard after one of Scherzer, Ray, Rodon or Gray too. Load that rotation up!
  4. Come on Shatkins we need two of Sherzer, Ray, Gausman, Gray, Rodon plz lol Do it!
  5. What compensation do we get for this?
  6. Expected him to go Ok with him going (especially for that term) But still a little choked for some reason
  7. Hundreds? Lol
  8. Yeah, more and more I want the Jays to pour money into free agent pitching and then run with: Jansen - catcher Kirk - DH / catcher Espinal - 3B Then when Moreno is ready: Jansen - catcher Kirk - DH / catcher Moreno - 3B / catcher Espinal - Bench / 3B
  9. If the Jays do get Gausman, I wonder if they still keep trying to bring Ray back as well? Running with the same rotation they finished with, but replacing Matz with Gausman would be pretty damn sweet on paper. Especially if Ryu were to bounce back from a bad 2nd half. Ray Gausman Berrios Manoah Ryu
  10. Meh. Hopefully it works out. Not a high profile guy but hopefully the Jays have a plan for him.
  11. Damn, Neris was a guy I was hoping the Jays would bring in.
  12. Probably. Based on last years stats the Mets added 11.1 fWAR today Based on steamer projections they added 7.2 fWAR today
  13. Escobar Canha Marte Mets aren't landing any big fish yet, but they're nibbling away.
  14. Didn't know that, thanks. Still a steep price though.
  15. Kirk, Biggio, Hoglund and Palacios for two years of Marte? That's a pretty steep price A full year of a healthy Biggio and Kirk might provide more WAR than Ketel would so it doesn't make much sense for Toronto to do that.
  16. Going to be interesting to see if any more in house relievers start to filter their way onto the MLB roster this coming season. Romano made it, Mayza as well. Borucki kind of fizzled but I wouldn't count him out totally yet if he can learn to command his pitches he's got solid stuff. Snead and Saucedo both got a taste last season, looked OK I guess. Guys like Taylor and Stadler supposedly have major heat to bring, but control issues. Danner got added to the 40 man, Johnston had one hell of a season last year and made it up to AAA, although he is a big time FIP and xFIP beater. Spraker supposedly has good stuff and was named the AFL's best reliever. Then you have Adrian Hernandez down in AA with a 15K/9 average at 21 years old, good lord.
  17. Ah, didn't realize he had signed an extension. I wonder if there is any chance in hell they could pry Rogers away from the Marlins? Probably not.
  18. One of: Castillo Sonny Gray Alcantara Lopez Bassitt Manea
  19. Gausman has been pretty good for 3-4 seasons now.
  20. Rodon is injured a lot. You sign him and you'll be lucky if you get 120-130 innings out of him. That might work out OK for the Jays though if they still have Pearson and are trying to ramp his innings up gradually. Right now my pipe dream is Scherzer and Rodon both on 2-3 year deals. Scherzer Berrios Rodon Ryu Manoah Pearson Stripling I'd love to go into the season with that SP depth.
  21. Honestly I was hoping maybe they'd be able to sign both in free agency (keep the prospect pipeline stacked up), and they still might, but starting to look less likely with every SP signing.
  22. Hopefully the Jays land a good SP in free agency. We need two of them and it'd be nice to not have spend a ton of prospect capital to get them.
  23. f***en White Sox Hendriks Kimbrel Graveman That's an expensive bullpen I wonder if they look to move Kimbrel, who wasn't very effective as a set up man.
