  1. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If t's in the Jays favor, it's negligible. When it's in the other teams favor it's a run or more in their favor.
  2. Does anyone know where Zulueta was assigned? He pitched for Dunedin today, but it's says that's a rehab assignment. I'm guessing he's high A after his rehabbing is done?
  3. If so, it's about f***ing time. They've been getting f***ed over a lot in the early going.
  4. I was hoping he'd be a fast riser last season, then he hurt himself in the first inning of his season covering first base IIRC. I think he'd climb fast as a reliever, but they're trying him as a starter so it's probably going to take a while if he makes it.
  5. 12-7 is awesome. Bullpen showing a few cracks now though, so hopefully that's just just a blip. I wonder, was Merryweather a sticky stuff guy? He looked like a high leverage swing and miss dream at the start of last season. Since he's come back from injury he's been very hittable.
  6. Well at least Saucedo should be warm in the pen /sarcasm
  7. Will we get good Thornton or bad Thornton today? Meat of the Sox order too.
  8. Stripling works quick and throws strikes. Enjoyable to watch really. He was really good for a nice stretch last season too, then got injured, lost his spot in the rotation and wasn't quite the same when he came back.
  9. Boy it'd be nice if the offense could just go off today and put up 10+ runs like on opening day.
  10. Holy s***, the Giants and Dodgers already have +45 and +46 run differentials.
  11. The little Pinto bean played his first game for Dunedin today. Went 2 for 5 as the DH Otto Lopez also played his first game of the season today, rehabbing in Dunedin along with Groshans so hopefully those two are back with the Bisons soon.
  12. I wonder if Biggio is a guy the Jays FO looks to trade? Maybe he needs a change of scenery on a team where he isn't blocked everywhere and can iron things out by playing everyday....kind of like Tellez. Jays got 3.5 years of a quality reliever like Richards for Tellez last season, maybe they can add another good reliever with control for Biggio? Bullpen is doing well so far, but injuries are likely to happen eventually.
  13. Nice to jump right back into the win column. Hopefully that sparks Bo, him and Kirk rocking OPS's in the .500's is crazy to me. Slumps always hurt more when they happen at the start of the season. It'd be nice to win a bunch of laughers so Charlie doesn't kill Romano.
  14. 4-0-1 in the 5 series to start the season. And that's with two big bats out and several others struggling. Hopefully the offense comes to life at home and they start putting up tons of crooked numbers.
  15. Thank christ. Good riddance to that moron. He'd be running rampant in here today, the Jays lost.
  16. Moreno was DHing today and left the game after 2 ABs I wonder what's up with that?
  17. I must have missed it, but does anyone know why Otto Lopez isn't playing in AAA yet? Injured I assume, but can't find anything. EDIT: Never mind, I see he's on a rehab assignment. I wonder if he gets a good look this year? He might be here instead of Katoh if he was healthy.
  18. lol When pitchers pitch good, manager looks brilliant When pitchers pitch bad, manager looks like a doofus Shocking revelation
  19. Hopefully Thornton.......because the Jays put up 6 runs this inning lol
  20. It's funny, last year early on Jansen couldn't hit, Kirk was hurt and we couldn't wait for him to come back. This year it's the opposite.
  21. I don't mind the move. Jays need another lefty out of the pen who can pitch in high leverage or else Mayza's arm will fall off. Borucki has wicked stuff if he can command it.
  22. Borucki has such solid stuff. 97mph running in on lefties.
  23. Man Phelps, 2 out nobody on and a 4 pitch walk. Not ideal Hopefully Borucki has command of his stuff today.
  24. Damn. He won't be in Dunedin long doing that.
  25. Jeunger will hopefully be a fast moving BP arm too, and it'll be interesting to see if Spraker does well enough at AAA this year to get called up. Most of us thought he was a goner in the rule 5 draft had there been one.
