To put this in perspective, Sunday night baseball on ESPN averaged 1.83 million viewers. The peak as of late August was an average of 2.572 million viewers for a Yanks/Red Sox game. These are truly some crazy numbers for baseball. Games on Fox averaged 2.04 million viewers
Yankees average just under 300K viewers per game on YES. Their TV contract paid them $143 million in 2022 and that's for only roughly 80% of their games.
The Jays average audience this year for the full season was 906 800 per game.
Main Street Sports, the broadcaster for 8 teams, averaged 1.5 million a night...cumulative for 8 teams.
The winning Bluejays are a huge moneymaker for Rogers.
